I think the biggest thing is to make sure all the content is transferred. We lost a lot of classic threads in the 2004 upgrade/migration.

I'm sure it will work out fine, the Vbulletin 4 just wasn't worth a damn. When I was researching

It's time ak_rep, the new features will probably do a lot to keep members engaged and coming back. When I
made a post on the Xenforo board about making the switch, all replies to my thread came to my email and
posted on their board. That feature alone will keep members coming back.

I'd like the ability to embed snapshots of websites
The only way to get new members is to let non paying members post on the main board for 15 to 30 days. Let them get
use to the vibe of the board. Just being 15 day lurkers only doesn't work. I tried to do that a few months ago and the
old familiar trolls came out of the woodwork and started fucking up the threads. I'm sure there were a lot of regular
members joining also, but the trolls got so bad the members asked me to stop letting 15 day members post on the board.
It seems to me trolls are a necessary evil if you want to re-grow the board, or someone has to tell me how to manage the
trolls. I know you will say that the Mods should handle the new tranny poster and assholes that will come if we open the
board back up, but I believe BGOL has more trolls than the average board. You would think those kats would have matured
by now, but they are just as stupid today as they were 15 years ago.
Before we had donations this place was troll hell and tranny poster hell. Out of that large mass of assholes we got a
core group of members who make this thing work, but now we need more folks so we have to allow a lot of people access to
the main board at least, but when you do that, here comes the trolls and then comes the request for me to close access
to no paying members.
So what is your solution?

I support opening the main board to the public. I say be slightly stricter on the racist trolls...like if they start talking unnecessary shit about black folks boot em off or give them a "Suspected Troll" badge like the "bgol donor" badge. Also, have you seen boxden.com's emojis? Them shits are funny as hell. I think we need shit like that. Holla at me if you need help!

I know trolls will always be here in some form or another. Been here since the beginning of time. Howevrr, my issue is when we have obvious trolls who are allowed to rack up lots of posts over a long period of time, yet we sit back and do nothing. We let them derail great thread discussions and fuck up the integrity of the board.
I don't know if there's a one step solution, but can we try to experiment with different methods? I like one suggestion where a group of seasoned vets can vote them motherfuckers off. If that can't work, let's entertain other suggestions instead of trying to keep this bitch "wiiiide open" because that definitely ain't helping.

Although Im sure the xenofor design for normal android browsing will be an improvement over the current format, I cant imagine it being more discrete than tapatalk. Tapatalk's dopeness is unrivaled when I need (yes need
) to take a peek at that Redheads thread, or wgw in the middle of the work day or on the subway train..Also, I swear my tapatalk auto updates (if the format changing from time to time is any indication), and I haven't had a problem finding and accessing bgol for years. And Im talkin subforums, main board etc (not just the At Work Board).
Ban kogalee. By far the most annoying and unfunny troll on here. He starts in a thread and won't stop... long ass posts too.
