Saw this on another forum, it seems Kurotsuchi could have been responsible for Ichigo's mother's death.

He said he experimented on many Quincey and the grand father was the last one he experimented on, he also said shinigami watched over the remaining quinces and he would bribe them to be late to rescuing them, so it's possible Ichigo's mother could have been saved but the shinigami didn't show up because of the bribe

I think this whole loving your sword theme will play a big part in this arc since we know the quincy can steal bankai and the fact Zarkai doesn't know the name of his sword either.....as lame as this ch was it has a purpose.... should be interesting to see what transpires

That fight will be epic, still don't understand how she's Kenpachi and still alive though, probably will be explained later on. A poster above had made a comment about 're - reading' the series, I have been looking at the old episodes and the fight btw Aizen and Ichigo, Aizen did leak that the King was a 'thing' didn't pay it much attention then, but it would seem as though all the clues have been there so far it's just to link them!
yeah it might turn out that Aizen wasn't such a bad guy. Every week we find out how soul society been fucking and manipulating souls which are probably what goes into making zanpaktos. Now here is my gripe, all this time we were told zanpaktou was a manifestation of your soul now they are telling us they are given?

Most ppl love the Kenpachi character, but truth be told I prefer the doctor for some strange reason. Now what is having me a bit shocked is them saying that she has mastered all the sword fighting styles, yet she still can't do a Bankai something is wrong with this story!
I thought she was alive because she was probably brought back by the guy who taught her healing after fighting kenpachi.
And I doubt she's the blind swordsman, her eyes just looked really low.
And these said zanpaktous are blank when given. Your Soul probably molds them. Guess just a regular sword at first.
But even then, ichigo didn't get a blank.

i think zaraki will lose, become VICE captain of the 11th and finally learn about his sword. yamaji is dead and there would have to have been a new central 46 after aizen. maybe they can change some rules about the 11th squad

So after re-readiing the chapter it makes sense follow me.
That scar was given to her by Zarkai...she was the captian that he "killed" if you read the conversation you can see there is a past between these two...... But when the scence cuts back to the new Capt Commander saying saying he is sorry that in training she will lose one of her lives implying that she is either immortal or has multiple lives as stated earlier.....so it seems that there have only been two captians of the 11th squad and when she died she became capt of squad 4.....
I dont understand that at all,because we hardly got any information on her....I've been waiting for Kubo to tell us more information on her and Yachiru...
Im going to assume,she was the one who gave Kenpachi that scar on his face.....I hope,Kubo show what happened between those two...
Im sure there will be a flashback, I disagree about them having a beef though. They both are killers at heart who get off at challenge, just like how Kenpachi is always going around looking for a fight from strong opponents Unohana probably had the same urges before some event changed her. So right now what they are feeling is the thrill of the fight
