After a movie like this release. It should pave the way for some historical African movie stories and action adventure themed stories. A lot of potential can come from this movie.

It counts, but it wasn't a big hit. There have only been a handful of black comic book movies: Steel, Spawn, & Blade trilogy. Black Panther will easily make more money than all those movies did just off the strength of being part of the money monster that is the marvel movie universe. Hell, when you add up the total box office of ALL those movies it's just a little over 500 mil, so potentially Panther could outgross all of them combined

I think Blade and Spawn deal with dark subject matter so that may not be why it did numbers..reason Black Panther will do so well is because there are strong black women in here and you know they will be out in full force...to go see this movie..This will be a movie for everyone...men, women, and children...
I've been back and forth between this and the Different world thread and i see where people were talking about "A different world" inspired people to go to college...I wonder if movies life "Black Panther" will inspire kids to think more of themselves and to research our rich history...may sound corny, but just a thought...
Storm is at Fox along with the rest of the X-men. Marvel can't use her unless they work out some kind of deal and there is no reason for them to do that. The Black Panther doesn't need Storm to be successful.

Marvel made a deal to get Spidey, Marvel could make a deal within the 5 movie framework to get the Xmen. It's obvious I'm thinking ahead and considering that a deal has to be made. I'm not talking about Black Panther needing using Storm to be successful. Sheesh.
