The problem really is society...Blacks are second class citizenz in a land of Bill Gates, the rich Blacks are looked upon as the exception not the rule, throw in the drug culture and gang culture nationwide in areas where mainly blakcs livbe and so now since the mid-seventies black children shun education and all things equated with being a "square" or "lame"...children seek to be seen and heard so they chase popularity and respect...unfortunately in the metro area that consist of being violent, rude, disrespectful, overly aggressive, irresponsible, anti anything that would garner you the title of positive contributing citizen...every neighborhood I have lived in city wise has upstanding citizens, success stories considering the environment, but doctors and lawyers don't make rap songs, they don't have videos that applaud their actions, they aren't being heard in rotation all day every day on the radio...couple all that with the fact that many teens do have strong father figures, it just so happens that those figures aren't positively contributing, so to speak, i don't know of any real drug dealer or gang member who wasn't around an uncle or older brother or cousin who wasn't also a drug dealer or gang member, these children are being raised to promote a culture of ignorance and aggression, mothers aren't putting their sons in chess club, they aren't putting their daughters in etiquette schools...the concept is laughable in a discussion with them...one brother told me after I said don't smoke weed around the children, that I was acting like a "county boy," a sister, with a bachelor's and working on a master's at a prestigious university said I was "acting funny" because I don't smoke weed anymore...This is the culture that is representing us internationally and we wonder why the incarceration rates are so high, not only have we not fully climbed out of the slump of slavery, we look at our children as animals to be trained and sent to the fields, instead of our future presidents and scientist...

The fucked up thing is that Moblack said he teaches Special Ed.

Well what the fuck do you think Special Ed is?????

It's plain to see how "more black" he is...... it too easy to see the imposters

:smh:

Imposter of what? Man please get out of here with that shit. Crab in the bucket ass. The previous poster talking about his mom relates to her students. As you said yourself all schools aren't the same. I can remember the time in my English can when we discussed Compound Verbs my kids didn't even understand it when I related it to compound chemical substances that are found on the street. (crack as compared to cocaine) All Title 1 schools aren't the same ,but at the school I work at there just isn't motivation. We have students at the school who are bright and going somewhere. I just work with the pits of the school. Like at my campus we have a problem with chronic tardiness. Someone said that I was whining. I'm not whining about the kids, but about my fearless leader as he calls himself failing to see the problems of the school and fix them. Last semester we had a teacher assaulted by a student and the principal had enough nerve to say the school is all she has if he wasn't for the school she'd be homeless.

wonder why the incarceration rates are so high

It is not all because of blacks and their fuck ups.

Excerpt:
The report, "Punishment and Prejudice: Racial Disparities in the War on Drugs," features a groundbreaking state-by-state analysis of the role race and drugs play in prison admissions. When 10 states -- including Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Ohio and West Virginia -- send black men to prison on drug charges at a rate 27 to 57 times higher than white men, how can we continue to boast about our "equal protection under the law" when it's so obviously not true for so many people? The cookie-cutter excuse is that the unequal sentencing reflects an unequal use of drugs. Well, that excuse has also expired -- in fact, five times as many whites use drugs as blacks, yet 62 percent of drug offenders sent to state prisons nationwide are black. In certain states, that number climbs to an almost unbelievable 90 percent. So much for equal protection.

Sometimes we have to check ourselves in contributing to the notion that somehow blacks are inherently fucked up?

That is racism in effect.

Also
You began your piece with:

"Blacks are second class citizenz in a land of Bill Gates"

Then end it by saying:

we look at our children as animals to be trained and sent to the fields, instead of our future presidents and scientist...

See the contradiction between what you believe and how we translate that subconsciously to our kids??????

Our kids are not becoming the future presidents and scientist etc because we tell them that they are second class citizens.

We start them off with a mental obstacle on their way...........

Peace.

God bless you for your contribution.

However it doesn't give you a right to look down on them or do it because of pity (just saying, not that that is your case).

That is my point.

I'm not here to toot my horn or compete. We should be here to network etc to fill the void that society (white) cannot/will not fill.

Let us know what assistance we could render in your efforts and I will gladly oblige.........;)

First way you can help the cause is stop blaming whites for where the low income black community is. No one white has made my students not want to read or write. That comes from within. I'm here filling the void and trying my best. In every battle you'll have a set back. If you could get a principal for my school who believed in discipline reinforcements that would be a plus.

I have to disagree with you there, man.

Institutionalized racism and the propagation of negative black stereotypes in society has done more harm to handicap our kids will to learn than our children's aversion to reading and education.

The subconscious and psychological wounds run VERY deep..........

And I agree with you pertaining to administrators.

Some administrators are disconnected with the staff of the school, and they live only to antagonize.

Honestly, I have noticed your complaints for a while now.

Why dont you just transfer or are you attempting to gain tenure?

I went to that school one because the old principal was good friends with my uncle. Also I thought and still believe its a great learning experience for myself and when I raise my won kids. I'm currently in the process of making some career moves as compared to going back to school. I have some graduate hours in Education ,but I'm pretty sure I won't finish in that.

I use to tutor illiterate convicts...men who had given up on education years ago...but you have got to find a common bond on an individual level that
places you in a position to manipulate and slide lessons in...we are not white people...our reality is that of savagery...we do not have a civilization of our own....we that have been blessed with enlightened minds have got to learn manipulation...any borther from the nation or the gods and earths that has the lesson of Musa please post it here...I don't feel like breaking it down, but anyway, we have to learn how to trick our own people because they have been taught that the educated are weak, that intellectuals are not pratical, that force is the only means to an end...every educated blackman in america is a prophet or a politician...i finally understand that 5% and 10% lesson fully...

There are avenues for you to take in special education that are totally different than your current circumstance.

Finish up those grad credits in education....and check out ISDs (I dont know what yall call those support schools).

Shit, special education has a myriad of disciplines within.

Hearing impaired, Emotionally impaired, other wise health impaired, and ect ect ect.

You dont have to stay in the classroom.

My point is that since black males represent like 40% of all special ed students, we need to have black men at the helm.

Dont get discouraged by your current situation.

Black men NEED representation in education, because that institution has been created to cause our downfall.

My dog on BGOL, (TaylrMayd), has me pondering on the idea of getting advanced degrees in special ed.

Huh????

I'm in shock

I'm sure you saw Braveheart. So many black people cried when the movie showed and yet the struggles of our ancestors cannot be seen through their eyes???? Only through the eyes of the oppressor????

Sad.......

The resilience shown by my ancestors is a lesson for all the world.

In buliding this "civilisation", the one where they made you think you were savages while they were the ones treating you like animals??????

The one where fellow human were put in this:

Who the fuck were the savages.

Man, purge your mind of that shit!!!

Understand that "civilised" people DO NOT do this shit like this..... ever!!!

Put that shit on a dog in 2006 and see if you don't end up in jail.

Know that the appointed time is slowly approaching....... come global warming and quench our thirst, may the melanin rich rejoice.......

You really have to respect reality...we are second class citizens and we do treat poor kids as boot camp initiates...if i am being contradictory it is because i haven't found an element of reality that isn't...i am not a product of
university training i am a product of a poverty and hope...

Bro,

That is enough. You have all you need.

Hope is enough to keep a dream alive.............

I came from a 3rd world country and it makes your poverty look like luxury. Running water is a luxury, believe that. Fucking water.
Every day throughout elementary school we had to wake up at 5:00am every morning and walk 2 miles to a community pipe, fill water and walk back. Three (3) trip EVERY morning then go to school. From age 5 to age 11.

But did I think some white person in the US is better than me because they have hot & cold water????? Fuck no.....

Second class citizen???? What the fuck is that????

I report to the Almighty. He is the judge. Whites love to play God and their shit is not in order. Fuck them and keep doing what you're doing.

David killed Goliath with a sling and a stone.

Nuff blessing on your journey........

Resilience is built into our genetic makeup, believe that.........
