I can't watch any updates anymore, it's depressing. Forget football, it would be great if Kevin could have somewhat of a normal life. The thought of him possibly being a quadraplegic is saddening. And he just came back to town over the summer to hold a free football camp for neighborhood kids too...

Nothing but prayers and blessings to him and his family. Hopefully the lord heals all that inflicts his body right now, and enables him to walk again one day.

Life is precious people. Stop hatin each other.

Tragic! A young man's life is changed forever. We tend to forget just how damaging the game of football can really be. I hope the league will assist with his medical needs, not just give him the minumums that are due and then leave him on his own because the costs of his medical needs moving forward will be staggering.

He Will Recover From This...prayer Is Strong Yall..keep Him In Your Prayers Fa Real.

this is so messed up. I hope the league takes care of him and his, since he risked his life for their profit and entertainment.

Co-Sign ... I had to send one up on behalf of this brother and his fam

A story of this magnitude should be getting more media coverage than it is currently getting. All I pray for at this point is that Kevin can at the very least live a normal life. His playing days may be over, but I hope this could possibly be a segue into a coaching career. Everything happens for a reason so you never know. I’m just glad he’s making progress while in the hospital right now.

It was smart thinking by the medics who put his body in a state of hypothermia before he got to the hospital that helped slow the degrading of his nerve cells in his back. They literally helped pull off a miracle...

Memo to Gene Upshaw...take care of this fella, and not just some small bullshit stipend.

This is why, whenever a football player is trying to get more dough...I always wish him well.

True thats all we can do is hope the NFL will assist him as well as other generous players in the league giving him help financially.

Damn... I HOPE he pulls through!!!

Trajic event and he's been on a respirator and sedated, That shit is no "JOKE"

CONDOLENSCES...

:(:(:(

it aint miraculous its good medicine - the doc who initially said it was catastrophic also said he had to wait until some time passed to really know how he'd be- they also dropped dude's body temperature super low to stop the swelling and inflammation after the injury
im glad he's gonna be ok but dude will never play football again and the way the union is he might only get social security disability unless he was insured elsewhere

the lessons in life are the same as the #1 lesson in football (when tackling):

KEEP YOUR HEAD UP.

this young man is/was VERY strong according to what i've read about him. the doctor is saying that he's gonna WALK out of the hospital.

:yes::yes::yes:

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Damn, I'm glad the doctors and researchers found a solution to stop the initial spinal sweeling. Good news for Everet and great news for anyone who might go through this similar situation in the future. God Bless the man.
