BILL MAHER SHITS ON STAN LEE AFTER HIS DEATH....

Anyone who says comics are "for kids" is an idiot to me. My ex-wife's whole family was trash like that they couldn't understand why I read comics.

Bitch I draw and write comics is why bitch.

Kevin Smith speaks at the 2017 Television Industry Advocacy Awards.

Has anyone ever seen Kevin Smith wear something other than hockey jerseys and trench coats?

The "Clerks" director and New Jersey native, now 48 years old, is finally ready to hang up the threads.

RELATED: 'Black Panther' is returning to movie theaters in February, and tickets are free
In a recent episode of "Real Time with Bill Maher," Smith was chastised for being a grown man who still reads comic books and wears hockey jerseys.

Of course, Maher has been under siege ever since he ridiculed the widespread mourning of Marvel legend Stan Lee's death — and refused to apologize for it.

But Smith, apparently a longtime friend of Maher's, later revealed that he's done with the jerseys.

Marvel's Joe Quesada rejoiced at the decision, complimenting Smith on the weight loss success he's had since his heart attack and transition to a plant-based diet. But Smith corrected him: The decision was made by the jerseys, not him.

Smith, who's celebrating the 25-year anniversary of his first cult film, also found out this week that the "Jay and Silent Bob Reboot" movie has been picked up by Saban and Universal. The film will follow the familiar deadbeat heroes as they try to prevent Hollywood from making a movie based on themselves.

what you make of THAT?

Douchebag extraordinaire Bill Maher is at it again.
This time; he has apparently shit on the legacy of Stan Lee and the American people's IQ for their continued reading and enjoyment of comic books and superheroes. See below:

Bill Maher slammed for disrespecting Stan Lee, questioning the importance of comic books

Bill Maher is in hot water after making comments that many are calling disrespectful toward the late Marvel Comics creator Stan Lee.

In a blog post to his website Saturday, the late night host wrote, "America is in mourning. Deep, deep mourning for a man who inspired millions to, I don’t know, watch a movie, I guess."

Lee, a cultural icon responsible for many of Marvel’s most popular superheroes in comic books and movies, died Monday at the age of 95.

Maher continued, saying he has nothing "against comic books," but that when he was growing up "comics were for kids, and when you grew up you moved on to big-boy books without the pictures."

"But then twenty years or so ago, something happened – adults decided they didn’t have to give up kid stuff," he said. "And so they pretended comic books were actually sophisticated literature."

Then the late night host brought politics into the mix, mentioning President Donald Trump.

"I don’t think it’s a huge stretch to suggest that Donald Trump could only get elected in a country that thinks comic books are important," he wrote.

Now fans of Lee are taking to social media to slam Maher for his comments:

Comic book artist Greg Capullo tweeted, "I never speak on topics I know little or nothing about. Why? I never want to be the fool. In other words, I don’t wanna make a Bill Maher out of myself"Bill Maher sure didn’t mind taking that check to appear in Iron Man 3 tho," another pointed out.

USA TODAY has reached out to Maher's representative for comment.

Dude is a comedian why is this a big deal? Who gives a fuck

He’s a douchebag white dude who although some hold in high regard is just a honky riding his white privilege. Stan’s legacy is definitely going to transcend time long after Bill, myself and we return to the dust. New artist , writers, animators and characters will be written because of Stan’s creative vision of (hero and villains) in us all. Generating new legends for the ages. Bill is just going to die off and leave his shitty opinion and tv/movies.

Fuck Bill

When and where?
'Cuz to my knowledge, the arrogant douchebag still stands firm on his mole hill of ignorance, in his distain for comic books and for the people who read them.:hmm:
(Remember. He blamed Trump's election on a nation of people who read comic books. As to say many, many of those same people didn't vote for Obama. TWICE. Or voted for Hillary. Or supported Bernie Sanders.)

Fuck Bill Maher.:hmm:

But if I'm wrong, please post a link....

Bill Maher Doubles Down on Stan Lee Controversy, Refuses to Apologize
Bill-Maher-Responds-Stan-Lee-Controversy.jpg

Bill Maher is clearly not trying to make any friends within the comic book loving community. Following the passing of Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee, who passed away recently at the age of 95, the comedian and politically-outspoken TV host made some controversial comments about Lee and comic books in general, questioning people's obsession with Lee's work and even going so far as to say only a country obsessed with comic books would have elected Donald Trump as president. Now, despite a ton of backlash, Maher has doubled down on his comments.

The Real Time host recently appeared as a guest on Larry King Now. During the interview, the subject of Bill Maher's recent comments came up. In the time since his initial statement, Stan Lee's company Pow! Entertainment released a response, calling Maher's outlook "disgusting," while the internet proceeded to tear Maher a new one. Here's what Maher had to say about it.

"Talk about making my point for me: Yeah, I don't know very much about Stan Lee and it certainly wasn't a swipe at Stan Lee."
Many certainly took it as a swipe at Stan Lee. At that point, host Larry King interjected saying, "You would have liked him. He was a really nice guy." That didn't seem to matter as Bill Maher continued with his lambasting of comic book culture and the idolization of Stan Lee. The host admitted he never really even read comic books as a kid. Despite that, he proceeded to call a culture that would consider these works important dumb.

"Yeah, fine. I am agnostic on Stan Lee. I don't read comic books. I didn't even read them when I was a child. What I was saying is, a culture that thinks that comic books and comic book movies are profound meditations on the human condition is a dumb f****** culture. And for people to get mad at that just proves my point."
Stan Lee, who co-created many of the most famous characters in pop culture such as Spider-Man, Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Black Panther and many more, was mourned all over the world following his passing. In recent years, the characters that he helped create, along with artists such as Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko, have become the subject of the biggest movies on the planet. As such, many people from all walks of life feel a deep connection with Lee's work and it was more than reasonable to assume people would mourn his passing.

Part of the problem is that Bill Maher admittedly hasn't even really read comic books. As such, he can't possibly understand the commentary contained within the works of Stan Lee, a man who used his platform not only to entertain, but to send messages of positivity and to make poignant social commentary. Stan Lee's legacy won't suffer one bit as a result of these seemingly misguided comments. On the other hand, Maher may very well have alienated a large chunk of his own potential audience. Feel free to check out the interview clip from the Larry King YouTube channel below

Comics are science fiction with art. That’s it. Pretty much the same thing as Mythology studied in school.

Glad he didn't back down. Fuck a fake apology for people who don't even like you. Don't think he alienated but a few super sensitive bitches. People who don't fuck with him regardless can be pissed, but to laugh at his other insults and cry now is bitch shit.

Crooked nosed hater. Comic writing has become a sophisticated genre with certain characters.

Maher shouldn’t speak on it if he isn’t knowledgeable on the subject.

Whenever Maher says something problematic, always refer to Wayne Brady.

:yes::yes::yes::yes:

It is not often that someone says just about exactly what you think about a subject.

This is one of those times..

Bill Maher is the worst kind of racist.

Seems to me to be the type who rents a cheap, black hooker, and suddenly thinks
he is the Hall and Oates of comedy because of it. Now, every other comment is a
Superflyesque commentary on Black culture. You know, because he is cool. He literally
fucks with black folks.

Jews have been doing this to black people in America as long as they have been here. Just look at Hollywood.
They literally have made a thriving business out of mocking others in the movies: Blacks, Asians, and Muslims for example.
The mockery never seems to be directed at jews, if you notice. (I am talking movies, not Family Guy).

Their behavior with respect to black people is one where the relationship is a great thing, treasured even,as long as the black person understands he is only to rise to a certain level, in terms of intelligence, economics, and dignity.

This is a commentary on Maher's snapping the whip, if you will, to make sure that no negroes actually
begin to think that the well educated and articulate among them are anything more than outliers, imposters, in essence,
not really black.

He hates Muslims, too. This video epitomizes what I hate about Maher.

To hell with him.

I don’t always agree with Maher, but I understand where he’s coming from here.

We have a serious problem in this country with grown adults believing in non-practical entities. I think its been reported that up to 75% of Americans believe in angels, 73% in a heaven or a hell, etc etc. Having traveled this country from coast to coast, that number is about accurate. That kind of faith in an unproven belief system is rampant in American society, especially politics.

In fact, Americans pray more often, are more likely to attend weekly religious services and ascribe higher importance to faith in their lives than adults in other wealthy, Western democracies, such as Canada, Australia and most European states, according to a recent Pew Research Center study.

For instance, more than half of American adults (55%) say they pray daily, compared with 25% in Canada, 18% in Australia and 6% in Great Britain. (The average European country stands at 22%.) Actually, when it comes to their prayer habits, Americans are more like people in many poorer, developing nations – including South Africa (52%), Bangladesh (57%) and Bolivia (56%) – than people in richer countries.”

Now am I directly saying that believing the Hulk is real is leading us into an abyss? Not exactly, but what I am saying is that its people with that level of belief of a man made image, that are running this country and banking on your vote, to maintain the status quo, to fuck everyone over 24/7.

That’s for damn certain.

Remove that kinda non-sensical fanaticism and belief and politicians would cease to exist. They’d actually have to bank on real and tangible changes. It’s not a coincidence that while we have amassed a great wealth here, the average citizen continues to be overlooked and two steps closer to poverty everyday.

And it’s hard to say that faith in the impractical, doesn’t sit at the core of the issues here.

I don’t think his beef is with Stan Lee himself, but more so that we live in a place where were quicker to be led by fantasy than reality, and when there’s rampant homelessness, unaffordable housing, private healthcare, piss poor education, food insecurity, etc plaguing us ..

We’re waiting on Superman to save us?

Is he a fucking idiot.

1. Eileen Gu and her parents are Chinese. Are we really surprised she chose to represent China despite being an American citizen. Many athletes does this all the time.

2. It's funny, how he calls out China's human rights violations but not Israel's. This country gives Israel billions of dollars every year but he want to call out China.

What we're doing is much worse what these entertainers are doing. Instead of giving Israel billions of dollars for no reason;how about putting that money for good use like education, free health care, improving roads, building new or improving this country's infrastructure and etc. Of course, that will never happen.

3. Don't he know that the United States has a surveillance programs just like China too.

I hate people like this fucking idiot. He thinks he knows more than everybody when he's not....

To hell with him.

I agree with everything you got here, just one correction Jews USED to mock themselves back in the day.

And no he hires ex-rappers (Christopher 'Kid' Reid ) to be producers on his show. Thinking since I said he is my best friend that gives me a pass. And after Kid pulled that Kaepernick skit with Jason Whitlock he might as well be best friends with David Clark as far as I am concerned!
