\ Thus the poster's question about convicting R. Kelly sans testimony and the Aliyah marriage (he mentioned Sparkle's niece, but if I'm not mistaken, that tape wasn't part of this trial).
Oh, and ... there were tapes played during the trial of Kelly threatening some of his victims... and those tapes helped to secure his conviction on one charge of racketeering (coercion, threats of violence to control), something Gotti was also convicted of.
That is primarily what I'd like to know. Who are the victims and what are they victims of?
Aaliyah can't testify and it seems that the marriage was a key part of this trial. But if we knew about that, from
30 years ago, and take it as fact, then the majority of accusations are based on what?
Somebody felt threatened and there is video of evidence of R Kelly threatening or yelling at that person?
And the motive is that R Kelly is not shaking down people for money, or hiding murders, but that he is a
sex crazed man who forced them and used his enterprise to force them to keep quiet.
The prosecution actually brings up that other men could not view women who signed NDAs as they walked
by... The horror that they could not see them!! Why or what emotion are they trying to invoke in the jury?
That the men would have been heroes and helped the groupies who signed NDAs escape from the residence
on a given night?
Were they kidnapped and locked down forever or did they leave the residence and never ever return to his
presence over the course of the years of alleged abuse?
A lot of High School and College coaches do a lot more than this.
