Making something new and having it become something else unintended is one thing, it seems, while specifically setting out to become a "killer" of another site by being a better duplicate is another.
That said, if, hypothetically, Black people created a social media site that's initially only popular with Black ppl, I agree with you that it would very likely become universally popular.
But that's easier said than done. We are trendsetters no doubt but also trend followers. We invent shit everyone wants but also adopt shit and turn it into something everyone wants.
For instance, Black Twitter is essential to the history of Twitter but it wouldn't have existed without Twitter being there first.
