Biden has signed the bill requiring TikTok to be sold / Oracle and Microsoft in talks to take over its global operations

The U.S. is a faux liberal democracy, censoring content, spying without justification even in people homes, stealing intellectual property, and now creating a U.S. virtual firewall. 170 million people can't be just children who don't know better.

You are going to revolt against the CCP so you can be in the same condition you were before with a faux liberal democracy? When China invades Taiwan, this could be setting the stage for their takeover, the people realizing that a faux liberal democracy is no better than the CCP.

Why do they want byte dance to sell
too much money going through tiktok. tiktok is singlehandedly hurting things like facebook marketplace, instagram shops, and amazon

they are the ones behind it because they are seeing money being taken away from them going into tiktok is the real reason.

Congress is gonna piss off these White folks if they ban Tik Tok.

Israel doesn't like all the bad press they are getting. Why would the tiktok bill be included in the same Ukraine aid package?

Fam, I knew it was a wrap when I saw that leaked video of the AIPAC person discussing how they've lost the support of young people. Meta has been solid with suppressing Pro-Palestinian videos. As long as you don't say "Israel" on your Tiktok videos you're good.

Chinese technology way ahead of out time.. the app literally scans all your files, photos, contacts, etc... We have idiot soldiers who have or are failing at OPSEC.. trying to flex on TIC because they want to make a name for themselves.. but all along they giving exact locatcation of bases, secure (red) offices.. why because they fail to follow protocol.. Nothing against the app.. Chinese wanted free information without getting compromised.. without having to pay spies.. and whallaaa.. TICTOK.. and yet idiots working for DOD running around on bases showing off.. this will be the downfall of many military bases.. because we have Private DOD's who fail to follow protocol.. SHIT the other day a SSGT ARMY chick not in weight standards was airing out a soldiers dirty trash on LIVE TICTOK.. WTF is up with theses people..

Don't like the idea of a BAN.. but TICTok is not worried.. it can still make millions in MEXICO, SOUTH AMERICA, CANADA< EUROPE.. just like when workers for UBER started to Strike ... UBER commented by stating.. a few set backs won't hurt the profits.. such as this case..

In India, the app was banned nearly four years ago. Here’s what happened.

Why did India ban Tiktok?

In June 2020, TikTok users in India bid goodbye to the app, which is operated by Chinese internet firm ByteDance. New Delhi had suddenly banned the popular app, alongside dozens other Chinese apps, following a military clash along the India-China border. Twenty Indian and four Chinese soldiers were killed, and ties between the two Asian giants plunged to a new low.

The government cited privacy concerns and said that Chinese apps pose a threat to India’s sovereignty and security.

Just months before the ban, India had also restricted investment from Chinese companies, Pahwa added. “TikTok wasn’t a one-off case. Today, India has banned over 500 Chinese apps to date.”

The app is also banned in Pakistan, Nepal and Afghanistan and restricted in many countries in Europe.

Chinese intelligence law and its cybersecurity law can allow Chinese apps to work in the interest of their own security. That creates a situation of distrust and it becomes a national security risk for others,” said Pahwa.

“There should be different rules for democratic countries and for authoritarian regimes where companies can act as an extension of the state,” he added.
