BGOL Ongoing Formula One Thread: 2025 Season

How'd he get a penalty?
It’ll be met with controversy.

He went off track during the starting scrum into a corner.

He followed the rules and took the penalty route back to the course which forces you to drive around a bollard and down an off course lane.

However, the mandated entry point to rejoin the track, through no fault of his own, lead to him rejoining 2 places ahead.

The stewards assess a pit drive through penality, essentially tacking a penalty for following the course rules.

Yeah that sounds like some BS. That bollards are meant to punish the error, why are they adding time to that? I say if he found a loophole let it go and fix it next year. :dunno: While Liberty is working on 2021 rules, they should be working on permanent stewards at this point. Shit is so inconsistent.

As I said earlier. The real drama is happening in F-1.5.
Lewis has checked out and is doing testing laps. He has an almost 15 second lead on 2nd place.
Bottas must be having fits.

One more lap we could've seen some real good fighting between Bottas and Leclerc. Ferrari need to go ahead switch focus to developing that car for Leclerec. Vettel needs a sport psychologist at this point. Dude's head is cooked.

Race done.
Unremarkable result. Lewis wins by 13 seconds in a wire to wire domination. Leclerc had a last lap nip at Bottas but couldn’t get close enough to pressure a big mistake or pass.

Pretty dicey last lap in the battle for 6-9.

Lots of racing and soccer on today. I've got the computer, TV, and tablet going. I love it. I was totally engrossed in the 24hrs of Nurburgring with an eye on Paris F1 but now that's over this Cameroon-England women's match is fucking bananas. Indy and there are Blachpan GTs on too. One at Suzuka (god I miss the old 130R).

I want to drive Road America. One of the circuits I haven't driven yet. In america.

Daniel Riccardo given two 5 second penalities post race.
His official finishing position was reclassified from 7th to 11th

I wish Indy had the type of production Sky gives to F1, but the racing is damn good. I'm rooting for Rossi to win the chip this year.

Yeah, he was going to get at least one 5 sec penalty for that, but he said he's not too bother by it. The Renault is feeling better in his hands and sounds like he's more comfortable which is why he tried those passes. Vettel still talking about Merc is not getting any closer. Leclerc would pull off that pass on Bottas if he had another lap so that Ferrari had pace for sure.

Yes, the Indy racing is good when they're on road courses and Pocono, street circuits and ovals not so much. There are some really good tracks in NA but I guess ovals are Indy history.

Big offs and crashes today during free practice by Mercedes, Rebull, and Ferrari.
Vettel managed to just barely save the Ferrari from eating the wall, but
Bottas and Verstappen wadded their cars.

Welp. Here we go. What can you say? Lewis impeded kimi but kimi being kimi there's bound to be some (manufactured?) drama. Lewis can win from 4.

I love this circuit. Wish it was longer. I miss the old Hockenheim.

Expect fireworks at the start... With Ferrari, Red Bull and Mercedes all holding the first 4 spots on the grid it's going to a highly charged start and first lap... Anything can happen !!!
