BGOL-Ed: Official IOS 9 Course by Udemy 2016

Anyone think that the instructor's book is worth it? I already have an app idea that may be a good one for my field but I do wonder what the next steps would be to market it and then make money off of it.

Build a website and start blogging about the problem space right now so that the SEO gets going early.

Build a presence on social media as well.

Who would be your early adopters?

How are the influencers in your field on twitter, linkedin, linkedin groups, associated blogs etc...

I night it, but my Mac is having a hard time downloading Xcode 7

Man this the same damn problem I'm having.
Well the first one was no video wanted to play on the laptop. So I just played them on my phone, and proceeded. Until I got to Xcode downloading problem.

So I'm have to figure that shit out.

Software is up to date

I must say the part when the guy was flipping through the iPhone and app was available that kinda gave me the chills.

The potential!!!!

xcode is kind of big so try downloading overnight

i think this course will surprise a lot of people with its ease

Done.

Want to set the objectives for this week in a few before i leave for work.

Cool. I hope we get some more participation. It would be nice to have an app contest or something to test skills after we're all done.

Did you try any of your apps from the old version with the new version?

I'm in my Master's program (elementary phase) of web and app development. Is xcode language similar to Javascript? I'll will be signing up at Udemy by ends night. Have my Macbook, iPad, and iPhone ready.

I rather a small group that is passionate than a large group.

Next batch of posters would be easier to recruit.

:D

So who has completed the first 3 sections?

I'm in. Started Saturday & finished section 3 yesterday. Will keep going tomorrow.

Side note: Man sometimes this dude creeps me out when he's on screen talking.

Likes he's geeked out on meth or something. LoL.

Good work. Yeah, he is hyper. I like his style though. I got an iOS 9 course from an Indian guy Haroon who has a much different style. I'm jumping between the two.

Nice progress!!!!

That's seems ideal. Probably should be one section at a time from here on out.
ok cool

maybe we check in mid week to see if everyone is making progress

i think 1-2 hrs a day works for me

get up 1 hr earlier and bang shit out

what does you technique look like?

Yeah, people can always post questions in here all throughout the week. My technique varies, but I prefer to go through things fast, and then go over them again slower. Didn't put in much time last week because of completing the same steps with iOS 8, but I am doing at least 2 hours a day this week.

I'm doing the Android course. Not moving as quickly as you guys, but I'm moving.

This course would be much easier if you have some basic knowledge of Java script. But it's not hard to follow.

Few things I've been thinking about...

- do y'all have a idea for your app
(Probably seem like a crazy, question but I'm was just wondering if some of us were just creating a app, creating an app for a certain market, etc!!!)

- Trying to figure out, something each one of us could do in other apps that symbolize they group.

As en example...use a certain symbol, quote, loading page loads the same, whatever...just something to that effect.

I think it's kool that we're strangers but family, who's getting together at this level to create life changing situations...

Nice progress!!!!

Thanks!

So are we good with trying to knock out Section 4 this week?

Indeed.

Good work. Yeah, he is hyper. I like his style though. I got an iOS 9 course from an Indian guy Haroon who has a much different style. I'm jumping between the two.

Thanks. I like how he lays things out too. But if dude is this intense at the start of the course, I can't imagine being on a team with him. LoL.

I have ideas for several apps but at the end of the day the app is just the product.

You still have to test the problem/solution fit and grow the user base.

I do have an iphone app on the app store used in over 128 countries but my developer just a new girlfriend and a weed card so dev has practically halted for new features :(

:smh:
