That interview was in response to how muslims in America in general and Minnesota in particular were being stereotyped and treated as if they had to apologize as a group for the terrorist actions of a few rogue muslims in Somalia. That's what she spoke about, the double standard. She and the moderator spoke about unlike the Somalia, America has executed numerous State sponsored attacks on other countries where civilians- many of whom are muslim were killed. Yet, Americans are not pressured to apologize for those actions - even though many Americans voted the presidents into office. In the video, more than once, Omar condemned terrorism. Her comment in question did not laugh at or ridicule or champion Al-Q. She pointed out how a particular college professor changed his body language and tone when he would speak of them, but not so when speaking of American imperialism.
