Bethune-Cookman pulls out of deal with Ed Reed.

Ed Reed literally lifted up the rock for the entire world to see the filth and rot at most HBCUs. The greed and power of those in charge who are only there for their best interest and not the interest of the students and the community. Ed holding them accountable and they want to force him out. I would never send any kid to a school where a losing athletic culture and mediocre academic culture was the norm regardless of who ran the institution. As an HBCU the standards should be even higher because that’s what they were built on. Ed will be fine. The real focus should be on the admin at these schools that continue to fail our kids and communities.

If you were going to Bethune-Cookman before this you're probably still going there. Its not like Bethune-Cookman is known for their outstanding athletics program.

That’s what I got from listening to Deion Over the last couple of months

that’s what I got from ED rant

this also what I got from our fellow member who attended or send their lovely ones to these schools..

Think about this, Deion spoke on the behalf of Mississippi Staye Valley to get their fields updated…

when he saw the leadership wasn’t backing the coach, he hired the coach…

cuz ain’t prefect but gotta damn he been on point with some of the solutions

"I'm Coach Jamarcus Russell, aka Neon Peon and I just touched down here at Hampton. I'm gonna turn you all into young men, and I'm bringing in Marcus Vick and Albert Haynesworth to help me do it. HBCUs got a problem, but us three coaches...we gon' get to the bottom of it. It's more to life than getting paid. We're about hard work and making you into the men you need to be."

Slow your roll bro. I’ve coached and taught over 30 students who went to HBCUs with less than 10 of them graduating from there. Most of them complained of the same sub standard amenities and lack of institutional accountability from admin and especially the financial aid office. My work is with the students and community not any institution.

So in other words no first hand knowledge and you're going by stereotypes.

and how would the students know about the finances at their school and where the money is going? Much less the financial aid office.

That's like expecting a $200,000 house to have the same thing as a $2,000,000 house.

What are you talking about no first hand knowledge when you hear from low income families of your former players telling you they are back home and asking you for the contact of other schools that can help their child. Over and over again they tell you their child didn’t receive (or most of the time is not time) their Pell Grants which over 75% of HBCU students depend on to cover everything from their meals to housing. Which leads to funding which many of these admins don’t want to do anything to reevaluate their current business models in an effort to offer financial stability to their students and institutions. It really is not a hard thing for a lot of these University Presidents to figure out how why they have such a hard time supporting, retaining and graduating majority of their students.

"The Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science, the University of Miami's highly regarded Virginia Key-based oceanography school, lost $2.3 million to a decade's worth of embezzlement. The person behind the scheme: the institute's own 58-year-old former director of finance, Kimberly Jean Miller.."

What about this "evil" and "corruption"?

You sucka ass white washed niggas thinking he dropping bombs bitching on tik tok about a dirty office while PWIs are riff with fuckery and admin robbing they ass blind.

It's amazing that black people fall for this shit like only corruption, problems and bad management happen at HBCU's

The white mans waters wetter

Their shit smells like daisies.

a bunch of brainwashed coons.

I gave my first hand experience as a coach and educator. The fucking idiot is your dumbass. When these university presidents know their students and schools are not receiving the appropriate amount funding and all they do is sit there and accept the status quo. If the state governments aren’t fully funding these schools you don’t still sit on your ass and blame the state. This is where the school’s leadership and the schools endowment office must get on the grind. Same exact mentality you have not fully educated on issues and resort to name calling anyone who you disagree with. Over 22 years and still going as a black male educator. Maybe you should shit the fuck up and learn something about the real issues before you drop your two cents on shit.

Y’all some real dumb asses. Did you read the article you posted bitch? Ed Reed was drafted in 2002. Fuck out of here with your dementia having old ass.

Thanks for the info coon
Again if you ever been to a real institution of higher education you would know how things work. Better yet if you even graduated high school you would know the the basics of an argument are facts not childish name calling.

Deion and Ed weren't head coaches at other institutions so probably didn't see all of the inner workings from a management point of view.

They're both emotional and hurt because it's us doing it to us.

Whats Ed draft year have to do with high level existing corruption at his institution as he barks into his phone like a bleeding teen bitch about a dirty office? Bitch Nigga.

Are you too fucking stupid to understand the point is to show his hypocrisy in his eagerness to complain about alleged wide spread corruption at HBCUs while ignoring worse offenses of felonious acts at his very own alma mater?

I’m the coon. But I have done more in my lifetime for young African American males and the community than you ever will. Still name calling clear, that there’s some arrested development here to resort to toddler like behavior when facts are brought up.

What facts have your brought up besides the fact you're a coon?

Here we go. That was terrible example and I know you didn’t even read the article Ed Reed was in the NFL chasing his dream in 2002 when the example you used took place. This is not my first encounter with you still being miserable about your deceased piece of shit mother who and displaying your abandonment issues.

Look here my man.. this is a coon ass statement no matter how you slice it. Crediting a tik tok screaming 45 year old idiot for exposing "filth" present at "most" HBCUs is beyond wild. Its also a false representation of HBCUs on a whole.

Ed begged for a gig he wasnt qualified for, couldnt get anywhere else, then shit on the people who gave him opportunity about a dirty office. And you're celebrating it and him as a savior and revealer of HBCU ills. :smh:

I think the issue was that they expect a lot of the schools, but not themselves. He can't control his emotions? His first though was to turn on his phone?

I would never send my son to play for him. Cursing while gospel music is playing in the background and complaining about the school?

Ed's display was embarrassing for a 40 something year old man running to social media. What would happen if he as coach of a team and his players ran to social media to complain about him? Would that be acceptable? And they would be 18-22.

I couldn't imagine a high school coach complaining like that. He exposed himself and killed his career before it got started.

I definitely agree and understand where you're coming from.

Going to social media instantly with his issues was definitely unprofessional and not the right thing to do.

This is what you're reduced too. Unable to articulate a cogent reply? Same guy crying about "name calling" two posts ago.

You a bigger bitch than Ed Reed... Go live on tik tok and tell us bout it. Ho.
