best coffee?

I'm not a coffee snob where I need something freshly ground and home roasted and I tend to like light to medium roasts. My favorite right now is the target brand Archers Farm Toasted Hazelnut

Green mountain makes a hazelnut I like also.
Archer Farms has a nice variety, including k-cups. Just check the dates on the package.

For K-Cups, Amazon has sampler packs where you can try different coffees instead of committing to a full box of a flavor you won't like.

Like I said, I'm not a coffee snob. The only thing I insist on is a coffee pot that brews at a high temp. Since I don't drink it often, I didn't get the one I wanted, but it gets the job done. Unless a pot of coffee is just horrible, average coffee works for me. For coffee snobs, they often consider anything sold in stores already stale. I don't care for dark roasts that a lot of people claim are gourmet coffee and "the best". As long as its hot, not burnt/old, and not weak/watery I'm straight. I look for a date and a brand that had the valve that is supposed to help keep it fresh and that's it.

He also didn't specify what kind of coffee maker he is using( regular, kcups) or what kind he generally likes, (light, medium, dark) so I gave options for ground coffee and k-cups. I await your recommendations.

I'm a Espro Press man, I get fresh roasted beans from my local roaster and grind them myself, this week I'm using Honduras Santa Rosa.

What's the difference in that and a regular press??? I just copped a double walled Coffee Gator joint a few months back.

My sis in law said costco has really good coffee also. Everything I saw was whole bean though. I have a hand grinder, but I've never used it.

I used to rock that Costco whole bean coffee, do yourself a solid and find a local roaster, or mail order from a good roaster (https://www.intelligentsiacoffee.com).

I'm not that serious about coffee anymore. I mainly have a coffee pot for guests now. The past year I've had maybe 5 cups of coffee, and of that, I probably made only one myself. I brought coffee for family I had coming home, but the coffee drinkers got stranded because of Harvey, and the ones who showed up drink tea now...lol... I've been drinking more tea than anything else, and even that has slowed.

I bought a good grinder from target and it ran me $25 at the most.. Ill give costco brand a try. My wife swears folgers makes all the coffee and puts different labels on the containers..

LOL..sowwy. I bought it because I was going to start drinking it regularly again and wanted to try the whole bean. My mom used to grind her own coffee. She had an electric one and this old wooden hand crank with a slide out drawer that I used to love to play with as a kid. Once I start drinking it, if I pull back I get really bad headaches, so I'm trying not to get addicted again. Y'all making me want a pot though...

Lots of really nice pricey brews out there...fam put me on this..

My nephew drinks their hazelnut. I was buying it for a while. That is the reason I was searching around for a nice hazelnut flavor and stumbled across the Archer Farms.

Dont drink none or youll be sucking on that coffee all night long.

My favorite is Kicking Horse with a French Press. I advice grinding your own beans. It isn't much work.

A quality FRENCH PRESS, with freshly ground coffee beans. People complain its too much work, but trust me, its worth the little 3 or 4 minute of hustle. Bean? I use Starbucks that I get in bulk from Costco. Waaay cheaper. The coffee is thicker, more flavorful, has more oil, and heavier. That Kurig shit is just for convenience, the coffee sucks nuts, thin and overly processed lacking depth.

The bodums work fine, but they are made of glass and glasss does what??? Break. Get this, last a life time. Had a bodum, broke, bought a cheapy one from Pier 1, shit broke and cut the shit out of my wife while she was cleaning it, had to get stitches. Got the metal joint about 10 years ago now, still rocking..

@PsiBorg what makes this so good, I need a coffemaker. THX
It's really simple. To me it's all about a clean taste. It come out strong too, so you don't have to drink a lot of it.

Buy good beans, then you grind the coffee yourself. You can't over or under heat it. When it starts to percolate, your done.

My wife's job sends her all over world. When they send her to Hawaii, we stack up on fresh Kona Coffee beans.
