Clinching and tying you opponent up should only be allowed if your opponent has you on the ropes where you can't get away ... (especially in a corner) other than that you should have to bob and weave, stick and move or back peddle that square circle to get him off you.

Hugging in the middle of the ring looks like we should be watching ballroom dancing.

Truly the best 1st round. Had Hearns not broken his right hand he might have been able to keep Hagler off his ass. The story is, and I may be wrong, Hagler was told they were going to stop the fight due to severe cuts.
