It's over in terms of winning the campaign.

But Bernie Sanders made Hillary Clinton run as a progressive and she will be a better president because of him and his supporters, along with other activist forces.

And he'll still be able to influence the party platform at the convention.

So that's one success and a chance for another. I think he will go all the way to the end like he said he would because it's important for him to get every state he can to validate his candidacy and show how outdated and non-resonant the attacks on him are. Making as much of a good showing as possible is going to help open the gates even further for a less fearful and more representative Democratic party.

But she's really not going to be that much different from Obama at all.

It is what it is.

There's a big ass difference between Obama/Clinton and Trump/Cruz. I don't see how not voting for her is justifiable.

Hell, in terms of what a Democrat can actually accomplish, she's at least 75% the same as what we'd get from Sanders. That other 25% is a big deal to me just like you but how much do we get with a Republican? 10% domestically? That 90% is a bigger deal.

Looks like the fat lady is singing...as stated Bernie pushed her to the left and also pushed an Operation Wall Street type message that seriously resonates with a large segment of the population...it is better than what we could have hoped for when it was thought that Hillary would be a shoe in....the media tried its best not to cover it but some of that message got through

She will merely pander to get Bernie supporters and go back to business as usual once they are secured. She already started tonite mentioning tuition and education debt and complimenting Bernie on running a great campaign . She's so full of shit you can almost smell the do do on her breath.

Point being that once you get to the generals its accepted and expected practice that blacks will vote at least 85% dem. So she doesnt need to acknowledge or pander to the black vote starting today going forward.

I'm not sure how people can claim to know anything about politics and not understand this very simple fact. Democratic candidates don't need to pander to black voters whatsoever. They know that we've been handed the frying pan/fire option.

To be honest, Bernie didn't go after the Black vote like I thought he would here in NC. Compared to Obama (and Hillary) for that matter, his ads were rather generic. My belief is people who don't really follow politics still didn't really know who he was. Must be his peoples

Yeah that's true.The problem with Independents in this system is that they don't have the finances to start campaigning earlier which is what Bernie should have done in 2013 if he had the money.
Only reason Black people got behind Obama in large numbers is because of the Clinton gaffe in South Carolina. After that it was a done deal.
Also you need coporate type money to even compete on Super Tuesday for all those ads.
