oe DeCamara on the Phillies: "Our whole mood and mindset is going to shift dramatically after the first game of the playoffs, win or lose...If they get in a 1-0 hole in a best of five series, you've got a freakin' problem fast...So what am I saying? "Look the Phillies are a heck of a baseball team. I still am not convinced they are a truly great baseball team [...] because I still don't really believe in the guys at the bottom of the lineup."

I can't begin to say how much is wrong with that list.

But it's all subjective and meant to make us argue among ourselves. :D

Yes I understand that but Jim Brown was the best offensive player ever. How could there be an argument? And as long as ruth wasn't playing against Black players his "greatness" will always be in question because once Black players were allowed, several showed they were better than him.
Yeah, yeah the pitching thing but the game had changed and pitching became more and more a specialty.

Understand this. At one pointthe Mets had thr nest record in all of baseball. This is one of the most amazing collapses in the history of professional sports.
