I don't understand these players, they make millions and still want piss their career away to gamble. Make it make sense. :smh: :smh: :smh: :smh:

Luis Ortiz signed a 1 year, $782,600 contract with the Cleveland Guardians, including $782,600 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $782,600. In 2025, Ortiz will earn a base salary of $782,600, while carrying a total salary of $782,600.

He got paid well which he didn't need to gamble... :smh:

^^^ your 100%

I guess if you WANT to the devil advocate thing?

After taxes? If he wasn't born here and had to take care of family back home? And paying off agents etc?

Maybe just maybe he was up against it?

But IF and I mean IF he did do this?

To RUIN YOUR ENTIRE CAREER for THIS?

Is still stupid beyond stupid regardless of the situation he was in.

No excuses.

Players gotta be smarter, if they want to gamble, they should retire from the sport.

While I do understand they have to pay taxes, agents and bills but if they manage their money and don't live lavish lifestyle that money can last for a while.

But it's really dumb to ruin your career gambling because nowhere would you get that salary that baseball pays you.

Hunter Brown is better. Best ERA in the majors and 3rd in strikeouts.
No question he is very VERY good. Ranger's back issue earlier on in the year was why his numbers aren't even better. So I base what I'm saying off of his pitching pretty much from Mid May on when he felt more 100%. His back moving forward is something to keep an eye on. Its the one thing that really worries me.

Hunter Brown:
ERA: 1.82.
Wins-Losses: 9-3.
Strikeouts: 126.
WHIP: 0.90.
He led the majors in ERA (1.74) and ERA+ (232) heading into a start on July 2nd.
He has been very consistent, allowing no more than two earned runs in 14 of his first 16 outings, with six scoreless starts.
His four-seam fastball velocity is averaging 97.2 mph.

Ranger Suárez:

  • ERA: 2.00.
  • Wins-Losses: 7-2.
  • Strikeouts: 67.
  • WHIP: 1.00.
  • He's had a hot stretch with a 0.99 ERA over his past eight starts and a 1.19 ERA over his past 10 starts (after a tough season debut).

Fuck the dodgers by the way ahead of this game tonight. Half our squad is hurt so if they don't beat us, it's a fail on their part.
