For me it's not on the coach, its the players. Besides Lopez, Evans & Blatche, everyone has been inconsistent or underachieved. We can't win if cats don't play up to their potential

Talent without leadership = under achieving.
They need a good coach who can adapt his system to the talents of the team. It's not about running your system, it's about running a system that maximizes the talents of the players on the court. It's not always about jacks and joes, sometimes it's x's and o's.
In a war, I'd put money on a army of sheep led by a lion versus a sheep leading an army of lions. Talent only goes so far without leadership. This is why a Greg Popovich team of bench players can play the Miami Heat within 4 points.

Are we not a new team with a total of 10 new players? The media hyped us up as team to be wrecken with but we still gotta gel. It's not like were horrible. We're still over 500 and in the middle of the playoff race.
Avery was never given the full opportunity to implement his system for an entire season with this squad. Our dreadful Dec. record was due to injuries to our most consistent player not being in the lineup.
With Brook Lopez were 14-8. Without him were 1-6.

What I worry about w/ Phil Jackson and the rumors of his wild demands which seem to focus on $$$ + power/control is will he be there 100% on the sidelines...he already sounds "burnt out"...shit even Pat Riley took a permanent step down from the sidelines to play the suit...it's hard to expect Phil Jackson to be able to play the role of coach + a suit successfully esp. w/ a "limited" squad (compared to what he's worked w/ in the past)
I think Phill would take the job only to push Billy King out and Phil move upstairs and let Brian shaw take the head coaching reigns
