At The Rate He's Going Statistically - And Assuming He'll Win Multiple Rings...

I mean to be fair he was what 20-21? maybe 22? Playing with one of the best EVER :dunno:

I mean for Kobe to be runnin in the same race as Shaq is a compliment if anything ... D Wade won the Finals MVP iirc well deserved too imo but you NEVER hear his name come up with Shaq ... for SOME obv reasons ... but the point is Robin or not he has a right to those rings .... might be batman and robin but it wasn't batman and ALFRED :lol:

Also I am not sayin he is in the same league as Jordan as an icon and BOSS player ... but when you talk about the greatest ever in the NBA with 7 rings he is gonna get some burn.... trusss

I think Kobe's contribution to those three rings is very under-appreciated. Shaq obviously was the man, but Kobe was called on many times to be the man, as well. He had to be clutch performer; facilitator for others; and scorer. He had a load to carry, because the Lakers were VERY short on players who could create for others.

Kobe, frankly, was the only one. I will never deny what Shaq meant to that team, but even when Kobe wasn't scoring or shooting all that great, the attention defenses were forced to give him created space for the Lakers spot up shooters.

The only reason I can't call him merely Robin is because too many times Kobe was Batman during crunch time. Do you call on 'Robin' to save the day?

Batman Jr., maybe; but not Robin, lol. Hell, that Portland Blazers series was won mainly because Kobe went off in the fourth, and Kobe capped it off by tossing Shaq the alley at the end of the game.

Y'all really think a tight end that plays full speed with primary ball handling responsibility 120+ games a year for more than 40/mins a game is going to stay healthy as they start approaching 30?

Jordan rings? Impossible

Hakeem or Isiah rings? Maybe.....

I think the duo was more Superman (Shaq) and Batman (Kobe). When that kryptonite (Free throws, foul trouble and double teams) slowed down Superman, Batman had to step up.

The G.O.A.T.S of the game are called that for a reason. Not only are the an incredible individual talent - they also have the intangible factor of elevating their teammates and making them better. LeBron stated during "The Decision" that Magic had Kareem and Worthy, Bird had Mchale and Parrish, Jordan had Pippen - Well Magic made Kareem and Worthy, Bird made McHale and Parrish, Jordan made Pippen - LeBron didn't elevate any of his teammates to allow him to win a ring - now that he's choosen to join two proven all-stars - rather than making them all-stars - he'll never be considered one of the greatest no matter how many rings you have. Hell - Robert Horry has 7 rings - are you going to consider him one of the greatest?

:eek::eek::eek:

:smh::smh::smh:

How is it possible that Magic made a guy who won 3 MVPs and a title BEFORE he ever played one game in the pros?

he needs to start winning rings 1st...let's see what happens this yr.

it will not be easy for the heat as everyone is making it seem.

that's how you make em a man!:lol::lol::lol::lol:

my dad did the same shit to me so i know how his kids feel. when i wanted to play baseball my dad was like ok let's go. we go to the park and this muthafucka (rest his soul) is throwing me heaters and high and inside and im only 10. he's like either hit it or don't play we can go home. and when it was my turn to pitch he'd smack my shit out of the little park and run around the bases every time :lol::lol:

when i wanted to play basketball (that was his sport) we'd play each other and he'd just totally ruin me. talking all the shit in the world. saying shit like ill never beat him i need to grow up get tougher be stronger:lol::lol: he'd hit jumpers all in my face he'd sit down he'd dunk he'd do all the shit he could. he'd call every call and he'd swat my shit. when i got older he never let up ever and it made me into the man i am today stand up and strong

even on his death bed i remember we were in the hospital he has tubes in his throat so he can't speak so he has a pad and pencil. keep in mind he has little time to live ( he passed away the next day) he writes down want to arm wrestle? so i give the nod like yes i'm ready. so he somehow gets his arm up and gets it into position and i get mine...we arm wrestle on his damn death bed:lol::lol: of course i could've beaten him and if it was anyone else in the world even my own mom on that death bed i wouldve smashed the arm down in victory and celebrated..but because it was him i struggled for a bit and then let him win. he fucked looks at me winks then has the nerve to flex his muscle like "look i told you, even when i'm near death i'm still the best"

sorry bout turning it into that but damn that just brought the memories back...damn i miss my pops

:lol::lol::lol::lol:
