Using the upcoming Asus Transformer Prime which was rumored to be the first Tegra 3 tablet graphics company Nvidia on Tuesday officially showed off what Tegra 3 and Android 4.0, "Ice Cream Sandwich" can do.

This early demonstration quickly shows off the 1080p video playback, and an all-too short demo of Android game Tegra 3-optimized racing game Riptide GP from games studio Vector Unit.

"Tegra 3 players get extra-high-detailed normal-mapped waves, realistic water splashes on the camera, and a dramatic motion blur effect when boosting. Riptide GP looks even better thanks to the power of Tegra 3," Vector Unit said of the game.

This next smartphone/tablet phase is the one I'm waiting for. The prime tablet, and the HTC Edge smartphone are the favorites for purchase right now.

Let that price come down a little and I just might cop this - I probably have to demo one in person before I take the plunge.

I'm such a damn gadget whore but I wish that I wasn't. I already have Transformer tablet, but I've already started making the financial adjustments so that I can get the Prime. Shameful part is that I'm also considering that Asus Phonetablet thing too.

Does this one, or the current generation, have 3G?

I'm itching to get a non-iPad tablet (what can I say...I like the Android OS) but it seems like none of them have 3G.

Is the Transformer Prime the newer version of the other Transformer which BestBuy has on sale on Black Friday for $249?

It's like you blink, and newer better shit is on it's way out. :smh:

Xoom2 is coming soon too!!

If I didn't just buy a touchpad! But imma wait until the kinks and things are out. Then I'm probably still going to Copp. I hope they don't keep pushing them out every year though.

Sent from a E4gT.

It inevitable. They will keep pumping them to outdo one another. :smh:

It is why I am so skeptical of getting a tablet. :smh:

the xoom 2 has 3g and 4g i believe. the original xoom is on sale for 199 with verizon on a 2 year contract.
So the game controller is for what again? To play games on a tablet? I might have to see that in person because that seems really akward. What about that keyboard dock he had in the vid. How much is that? :dunno:

depending on where you are, its better yo use an actual controller to play certain games. games that require a lot of movement and action.

I been waiting for this. It drops december 9th. That nigga at Best Buy told me it was coming out next year. He was an admitted Apple Fanboy. The Ipad goes up for sale today. Ipad I 32 GB with 6 months left on the warranty with case for $375.

You are correct. But every so often, there are "game-changer" devices (like the EVO 4G). I believe that this is one of them.

Wow leroy ass nutz not in here talking about how he gonna cop his 10th tablet? Bitch ass no pussy gettin nigga

Damn, thought it was just me.

I've got three already and going to get this one. :smh:

I picked up the original Asus Transformer for 249.99... got the Best Buy buy back option.... then Im going to trade in the transformer and then Trade it in and pay the difference for the prime... save about 50-80 bucks :D

every bit of small hustle helps

Thanks for that, but I think I'll pass on the Xoom. I've heard mixed reviews on it, and I don't like contracts, certainly not for two years (still got a prepaid cell phone).

Was thinking about getting the original Transformer, but might as well wait on this.

I'm thinking very seriously about getting the original transformer. Looks like it will suit my needs (work, school, media player, watching movies, etc) I also like the fact that it has the expandable keyboard.

But, you know I want the new shit. But I'm not so sure how I feel about coming up with the extra $100-$200 to get ICS. I've heard that the original will be getting an ICS upgrade eventually. Any thoughts on that.

Also based upon the reviews, do any of you who own the original feel like there is that much of a difference to warrant the extra $$. Appreciate the feedback! $550 with the keyboard just seems a bit expensive for a tablet. Maybe I'm missing something, help me to justify it!!

I'm down to either the transformer or one of the two laptops below from the Microcenter.

its been reported on other sites that ICS has fixed a lot of issues. let me know how it it.

also, did you put a memory card in it? if so, does it function like its supposed to? meaning, can you write, delete, rename items on it?
