Yeah, da spot I get crawfish from shits all over Pappadeaux's (which still has good crawfish but now like my other spot).

Forgive my ignorance, but how do you eat crawfish? I'd be open to try them, since I love seafood, but I just haven't come across them...what do they taste like?

We only use Zatarains too. And kingleo explained pretty good how you eat them, it's really simple.

Just pull the tail off and peel the shell and eat the meat... Some folks eat the claws too but I pass on it... Some suck the head others don't... And u gotta have some corn and potatoes and spicy and I keep some melted butter for my shit

I don't bother with the claws or head, only the tail, and I'm good to go.
 
I can eat a 5lb bag easy if them bitches boiled right. I only fuck with one place now that I live outside da N.O. I'm gonna roll to the crawfish fest this year too. I haven't been since Jr High. That was the good ol days, an yes the women are top notchers. I might wear my Quaid shirt so I can identity the BGOL attendees.

Boiled shrimp...HOT!!!...got these from Hank's on Bellaire & Wilcrest...they got the best crawfish in town place stays packed and they run outta mudbugs damn near everyday...goddamn shit be having my nose running

Hebert's (a-bears) is a specialty meat market in Maurice, La...bout 8 miles south of Lafayette on US-167 (johnston st).

you can order all kinds of specialty items but you must order the shrimp stuft chicken & the crawfish stuft chicken, the bone-in ribeye & about two cans of their house seasoning. all the items come seasoned & vacuum-packed for shipping.

I've been eating from then since 1989...their food is off the hook; the directions for cooking it is on the packaging.

breaux bridge, la = crawfish capitol of the world...and they have some big, clean & pretty, rice field crawfish.

if you're in Lafayette, you're only 6 miles west from bb...my house is like 5 miles from where they hold the festival.

it's not just boiled crawfish tho...they sell everything you can possibly cook with crawfish meat, esp the old, fat, blk ladies. they always have long lines & sellout quick. one lady had some etoufee that was sooooo good, i asked her daughter to marry me-just so i could get the recipe. :lol:

and then there's the zydeco bands too. :dance:

lots of people don't like certain things till they come to Louisiana & have it cooked our way.

my ex's father said he'd never eat oysters. one day i made a garlic butter & herb sauce & threw about 3 dozen on the mesquite grill. when done, i hit em with a touch of romano cheese.

dat nicca ate bout 2 dozen by himself...and asked for more! don't knock it till you try it.

btw, fuck pappadeaux's. if you like it...fine but don't mistake dat shit for real cajun & creole cooking; the spices are dialed way down.

Yall got a boiling crab in dallas? I love the whole shebang shrimp jawn. I get 3 pounds of shrimp and kill the whole thing. The heads are mad creamy damn. I drive 1 hour down to san jose for that shit. We the only niggas there too it's all asians in that jawn. Bad asian servers too.

Yessir we do...I go just about every other week. That crab go hard and them shrimp...I get the mud bugs only in season
