I spent the 8th generation on the PC pirate ship, mostly doing sim racing.
My wheel has broken, there are no budget wheels and racing games rather sparse, so I'm retired from sim racing
Now I want to return to consoles for the 9th generation with Sony being my target, I'm hoping that the PS5 is backwards compatible with the previous 4 generations of PlayStation, if it is, I'm about 95% sure I'll get a PS5.

Same here. After a better PS5 model with a price drop comes out.
I usually wait about a year to see if the 1st gen. version of systems have any problems before I take the plunge, unless there's a game or two that I really want to play but that's rarely the case. There's enough stuff coming out to keep me busy. R.E.3 & F.F.7 remakes. Last of Us 2. Then there's the backlog. I still haven't opened Dark Souls 3 or Titanfall 2. Then there's the games I like replaying like D.M.C. 5, R.E. 2 Remake, Bloodborne....

I could do with a good arcade racer. DRIVECLUB was the closest thing to project Gotham this generation nothing else really scratched that itch for something that drives well but isn't too serious like a full on sim
Only thing about computer gaming is you gotta sometimes wait forever for some titles to come out on it. No way am I waiting 2 years to play GTA for example just cause of the computer experience. Fuck dat shit completely.
They said piracy killed gaming...but I beg to differ. This is probably the weakest generation ever far as games... ever. I didnt see any major achievements surpassed this gen..brah
With PC gaming there are usually more features and settings in the games with the ability to mod the games. Racing sims for sure. That has value. In the past gaming PCs were also twice or more the price of a console. Now that number is starting to become a bit closer. But honestly......... Consoles are just easier to deal with day to day. No console of mine has ever crashed mid game. I've seen YouTube PC gamers have to uninstall and reinstall, fuck with these settings ot those settings and who the fuck has the time and energy for that to get a better looking, slightly smoother gaming experience??? But no different than anything else, you have the elitist, the casual, and the novice. We all do it to some extent.
They’ve been talking about this game since 2017. If it’s as good as they’re saying it is, it’s one of the few games I’ll regret not playing. But that’s a long ass time to advertise. I got tired of waiting to see real reviews for it.
