When there is more people than jobs available, then there is a crisis. They know that the work market, especially in entry-level jobs and government jobs will be shrinking in great numbers, real soon (mostly due to automation/technology). They also know that the days of being able to afford welfare supplements for poor families will be coming to an end real soon. So why are they pushing for more poor people to have kids? To exacerbate an already dire situation, the same kids being born out of the anti-abortion laws will be the very same kids used as poster children to describe why America is falling apart by the seems.
