We don't need people like you making excuses and attempting to point out "the good in her".
I work in the school system here in NYC. Our kids have plenty of resources and technology. The budget of the schools are tied to enrollment. Alot of the schools in the Bronx suffer from lack of enrollment. Having technology and computers is a smaller part of a bigger problem which "allies" like her should be focusing on. Poverty and unemployment are the larger issues in some of these neighborhoods where these schools are suffering.
Yea I feel like we have lost focus on the racist shit she said and instead now are focusing on the racist lack of supplies the kids do not receive
So do you want the resources for the kids or are you going to provide them yourself because of the way she spoke?
So the kids in the Bronx have what they need and she needs to shut up? If they do need the resources, why can't this issue be addressed and the other issues at the same time?
What do you want her to do to atone for her words? What is the ask we should have of her?
There is no atonement...she feels how alot of white politicians feel about inner city kids. I don't want her to do anything, but again I don't believe in the political system nor have I seen it benefit our kids in any way. We get the same shit under a democrat we get under a republican

But I think we hold too much stock in an HBCU. I wish they were/had produced a MILLION Dr. KINGS since he graduated to be certain.
I'm from the West Coast. We don't have those here so maybe my perception is skewed. From my view, I'm seeing them mainly producing boule negroes, and frat/sorority members for the most part.

There was no need for her to apologize. Her intent was clear to anyone with an IQ over 50. I believe Roblo is white so he isn't part of the "we". He saw someone speaking on behalf of poor black kids so he had to discredit her.I just had this discussion elsewhere. She was advocating on behalf of black kids to get the resources they need.
They don't have access to computers or know how to use them or code at the rate of other kids. The majority of internet access was from cell phones.
