Apple expects to sell 10 million tablet computers in 2010

This demo shits on the SI one....

:yes::yes::yes:

Good video. I was impressed. Still I'm not paying $800 to $900 for a steroid version of a kindle. I'm glad this product is coming out though. Now kindle can up its game and have the option of a color screen for magazines. Plus they can try to make it where the kindle can rotate. I guess instead of buying a kindle like I planned, I can now wait for a 3rd generation Kindle to come out.

WHile I agree that $800+ is expensive for a netbook. I can't see how you are comparing a netbook (especially one from Apple) to a kindle (which is just an e-book reader)

can't wait to see the tablets on the market..

The second vid was good, just a little too long... the first vid got right to the point.

What do I compare it with then? So far Apple is marketing it as an e-book reader. I can't compare it to that mini sony viao because you can't transport the tablet with the ease or fold it and put in my suit jacket to carry with me anywhere. No need for me taking this thing all over the place since I just carry around a laptop. I just threw the kindle out there because the videos showing its capabilities that a kindle can do except with a few extras. Like I said this would be good for me to get if I had loot to throw around. Outside of that I don't see this as a need.

other netbooks or tablets that do much more than read e-books. That would be a start.

Apple has marketed anything. everything that is being written or discussed is pure speculation and assumptions based on secret meetings and patent-filings.

rarely is the Apple speculation 100% dead-on.

All I need to know is if you can Jail Break it. If its jail breakable i might fuck with it for all the free app's and Books. if not :dunno:

You right. I'll wait for the finished product before I make judgment.

http://www.tabletcommunity.com/news...-sell-10-million-tablets-in-first-year-report

Apple expects to sell 10 million tablet computers in the product’s first year, according to a former Google executive.

Lee Kai-fu, founding president of Google China until September 2009, says in a blog post he heard the numbers from a friend.

He added that the Apple tablet (rumors now call it the iSlate or iGuide) will be launched this month at a sub-$1000 price point. He says the device’s 10.1-ich screen makes it resemble a large iPhone.

Lee’s Innovation Works fund is an investor in iPhone-manufacturer Foxconn, although he denies that the information came from Foxconn or Apple.

Divine is going to buy a million of em his damn self and stuff stockings wif em.

apple sees that the amazon kindle is selling like hotcakes

so like typical apple, they re-innovate(is that a word:confused:) a product, add some additional features, and let their sheep(divine) do the advertising

the execs at apple are geniuses
