Anyone volunteering to go to New Orleans to help?

The base I'm at is allowing people to volunteer to help to go to New Orleans, 17 people left yesterday, I'm going to ask if I can go help, this shit is more important than Iraq this is our country, I heard from my moms in Oakland the Red Cross is giving people 6 hours of Red Cross training and sending them down to the Gulf, I think its time to put or shut up, their going to issue us M-9'S since motherfuckers been shooting at us since we started helping out, anyone else down?

Bro, outside of military, not many others are being allowed into N.O. Remember, the city is being evacuated. Volunteers are being sent to affected areas outside of N.O., where help is still vitally needed. No ???

Indeed, it seems if you are not LE, firefighter, military, or other capable 1st responder, you may not have a place down there now.

I've already donated, I've thought of opening my home to a family, there are people coming here to St. Louis. So we'll see where I can help.
