when you use a ATM at a convience store like 711 it will ask if you want to check your balance and if you say no then the transaction is done and you have to start again... then if you say yes it will do the check give u a statement then you have to do ANOTHER transaction to get the withdrawal you wanted in the first place.

Of course theres a fee attached to everything youre doing...its just another chincy fucking annoying way way they nickel and dime you.. there should be a class action suit on that bullshit..

i hear you brother these cats on here acting like every time you gotta make a quick run "your" bank is next door or some shit and yea it aint just @ 7/11

Are they providing you with a service? So why do you expect them to work for free?

In 2016, you should know how much money you have. Oh, and don't forget the apps. I have one icon with about 10 apps in it that represents my financial life.

you didn't read what I wrote...it will ask if you want to check your balance and if you say no then the transaction is done and you have to start again... then if you say yes it will do the check give u a statement then you have to do ANOTHER transaction to get the withdrawal you wanted in the first place.

it seems like you can't bypass the balance inquiry check to do anything.

Where TF do you dudes live??? I know everybody doesn't bank with a massive bank, but does the number on the card not allow you to check you balance??? Aside from that the ATMS at those obscure places are normally the ones the fuck with and put those skimmers and shit on. If I can't make it to my bank, Ill go to another ATM at a bank that isn't mine. No way in hell I'm using a quickie mark ATM.

The money they will give out in the class action suit won't even come close to the amount they made with the crime. There's an old saying about crime and paying.

places where you walk into any duane reade , cvs, rite aid , walgreens, almost any major supermarkets and its not to check your balance but what happens is once you begin using the ATM it checks your balance before allowing any other transaction so if you arent careful you end up with two transactions instead of one.

uhhhhhhhhhhhh use the ATM @ your fucking bank?????? this your first account??? this def not new nigga
Over the last 2 - 3 years it has become much more commonplace...to the point where that bullshit is now expected when you go to an ATM that is not in a bank....it's a slick little scheme they got going on....you used to get that balance info for free

Indeed short of using a ATM out of ya system all that use to be free. Ive noticed the fuckery lately and have gotten got a few times. They sometimes charging 2.50 for the balance inquiry. When your not fully paying attention like maybe using your phone at the same time is how they get you. I had to slow down and start reading them shits carefully now.

Bruh, you don't have a cell phone???

Damn near every financial institution has an app for their service.

Bank of America lets me use any ATM for free. They reimburse every fee that I'm charged by any Atm of another bank. I love that shit. Very convenient.

I get the same with E-Trade and it's unlimited. It's the main reason I'm hesitant to move my money over to OneUnited

He didnt want to check his balance... he just wanted to withdraw some cash...the machine is programmed to force you to do a balance inquiry or you will not be able to do a withdrawal....

My bank IS at every 7/11 location so I don't know what fees. And when I use it and choose not to get a balance I can still proceed so don't know what you're talking about. Bank of America makes you put your pin again after checking the balance.

Nah you can do the withdrawal, you just have to remember to say no to check balance...it can catch you if you aren't paying attention or if you don't use those types of machines on the regular... they know what they are doing...those little fees add up...it doesn't catch anybody after-you get familiar but they some little tricksters

if you say no then the whole transaction ends and you have to start all over again...that shit should still be illegal and is definitely unethical...for them to do that is bullshit

This reminds me, I need to look into a $3 charge I think I got. I was in the supermarket the other day and I went to the commonwealth atm in there, I was going to take out 60 bucks but then I realized I had more cash on me than I thought so I cancelled the transaction. Now the machine asked me if I wanted to check my balance and I quickly hit yes because I'm not used to that screen, Chase and my credit union doesn't have it :dunno: When I realized I had cash I cancelled my transaction and when I was about to walk away the fucking machine spits out a transaction receipt that says 3 bucks, I'm not paying them 3 bucks just because they showed me my fucking balance
