I’ve been trading ETFs of late like $SPY, $QQQ, etc and my success rate has shot up! It allows me to focus on overall market trends instead of individual stock particulars(Stock manipulation, high short percentage, merger news etc).

Highly recommended if you’ve never traded etfs before. The cost and payout potential for options is outstanding.

In many ways it's as simple as what did futures do over night? Green you say? Then theres a high degree of probability that $SPY etc is moving up a few points. Futures was Red? High probability that $SPY etc is going to be bearish.

There are more specifics to be aware of but that's the general gist.

In and out within a matter of mins to 1-2 hours. I bullshit you not i've made more $$$ this past week than at anytime in my trading career. It certainly helps that the market was very bullish overall too.

HUGE: Take a look at Volume Profile trading too!
@tical so this works like normal options where you have to have at least 100 shares to play right?

My issue with options is it takes time to get your order filled. You have to place a limit order and if the price keep running you never get in and I usually cancelled the order.

It takes time? What platform are you using and what stocks? It takes a second on TD and you don’t have to use limit orders. You can if you want and those orders get filled quickly depending on the bid/ask spread.

You definitely have some bad info there.
I’ve closed expiring contracts at 3:50pm on a Friday in less than 5 seconds.

I use Webull, not saying I never had success but there are times it takes too long to filled.

Especially if you are using a butterfly or iron condor strategy.

Yeah, You didn't mention more intricate orders. Those take more time because you're(the system) closes each of the legs seprately. But even that depends on your bid/ask spread etc.

Yea mine usually take at least a few moments and tweaking on eTrade too. And I usually have to set the limit order.

Maybe I'm doing it wrong..

Volume and the bid-ask spread are key to getting filled as well. Are you bidding on things with a good amount of volume and tight bid-ask?

I think iron condors and butterflies are hard to fill on all platforms. Robinhood is probably the worst becuase they make money by skimming people's fills.
