I thought she got into the weed game to make fast money and keep her middle class lifestyle.. the mexicans are giving her (i'm assuming) at least six figures just to be a front and run a "clean business" yet she still wants to deal weed? She still allows her kid to grow weed even when money is no longer an issue?

Seems like they have NO IDEA what to do with Celia...she was just an uptight sexually frustrated soccermom with too much time on her hands...now she's a cokehead?? She has a another child?? WTF?

Only good thing about the show this season was the lack of theme song. I can do without ever hearing that shitty little boxes song again ever in my life. geechiedan said "no haylia no conrad.." I think they only used the black people to get the show started, unless they plan to bring them back after they see that this other shit isn't working!

it seems like the plot for this season should have been used for the series FINALE..rather than just another season...

it would make better sense that it all ends going completely away from where it started rather than doing it in the middle of the run...now where are they going to go?? and why should we care??

Hell no!! He's the primary reason it began to jump the shark (last year). One-dimensional "gangsta" character that didn't add anything to the show's offbeat value. Played him without any subtlety, just menace. Big turn-off. His bumbling partner was more appropriate to the proceedings.

But to the poster, am I tripping? You said Nancy still wanted to sell weed after the front but she doesn't sell weed anymore. It was her son the one that had that little sandwhich shop going.

If i'm gonna complain though i'll say that this season missed Condrad and Haylia. They're actually the reason why I even tuned in from the get go. But I assumed the cat who plays Conrad is focusing on films now since I seen him in that last Mike Myers flick. Could've been all his decision. So I want fault them for that.

But the shit that bugged me the most is the whole little girl leaving the hole shit that went down that made Mary snitch. Shit just came out of leftfield and I don't see why somethign like that made her want to snitch. Only shit I can think of which would make sense is that she already knew she was pregnant before she saw the girl go through the hole. I think what really fucked that scene up is that the girl they had play that role didn't really look like a girl at all. She looked like she was 20 so that kinda threw me off to what the scene meant.

I definitely agree with your first point, the show still fulfills it's purpose of providing me w/ 30 minutes of entertainment every week. But I will say the story was weaker this season versus the others IMO.

As to your last point, it's a lot easier to stomach the effects selling weed will have on peoples lives versus the effects of selling young girls into sex slavery(which I think Nancy assumed is what was happening).

Still watch it though... just never sure WHERE the story will go, from week to week.

Yea you're probably right. It just seemed a bit extreme to snitch and risk her and her families life over some assumptions about sex slavery. But you're probably right. And yea i'd agree that the story was weaker than in previous years. When I heard the creator of the show talk about exploring the mexican border and shit I thought it would be wack. Wasn't wack but it didn't compare to previous seasons. They ran into a ditch when they burned down their neighborhood.

And yea he's right. Celia always had that chic. She was like in the 1st and 2nd episodes of the 1st season. Its even the same girl or looks like her anyway.

I've never watched Weeds for its writing but, everything feels rushed this season. Hopefully they bring Conrad back next season, he is sorely missed.

It was either be pregnant or get cut up into little pieces. And I don't think either the creators or showtime were going to end the series. Most of the good showtime series get five seasons so this will run another.

Did the season suck? No. It wasn't as good as the others but I was still entertained. I think the season was a transitional one where the story was trying to find itself.

Honestly the first few episodes were decent. It was only when Guillermo's relationship with Nancy soured that shit started to get weak. That was a good story line and her travels dealing with the Mexican drug workers brought a strong comedic effect.

I think there's an issue as what to do with Nancy. Does she get busted, murdered, or ride off into the sunset with her money and family in one piece? Once they decide on how it's going to end, then they can write a good story. Will it happen? Who knows?

I saw that episode as well where she picked up some ki's from Mexico. I don't remember her gettin' back in the drug game though. That ish lasted like an episode.

Doug is the best character on the show. If he wasn't on it shit probably wouldn't even get no laughs. This cat looks depressed, writin' a note to his wife, grabs a rope then wraps it around his neck and soon as you think he's about to jump the camera angle changes and shows he's beatin' off lol. I don't know why I fell for that shit lol. I really thought he was about to murk himself.

Starts in just under 2 months for ya'll in the States on SHOWTIME. For us in Canada ... Showcase always picks it up a number of months later. So check for it in late-2008/very-early 2009 as with seasons past
