Anybody watchin' the Terminator Series on TV...

One thing I never understood about Terminator and maybe someone can share their thoughts:
In the first one, Arnold was T-800. In T2 he was again T-800 going against the liquid dude T-1000. And in T3, he was still a T-800 and the lady terminator was T-X or some shit like that.
And everytime you see future scenes it's a bunch of T-800s running around without the skin of course. And on the show you got T-800 Arnold look alike and the chick (not sure on her model number or how powers yet).
But my point is, why the fuck it never dawned on them to program an updated terminator model on the good side??

My guess would be limited resources.
They would update if they could, but they may not have the technology to convert a T-1000 or whatever.
So they take a T-800(possibly damaged) because there were so many available and rewire it...

Unless James Cameron says T3 was a mistake and done for money this series is ass. All this running is not going to make John Man up. Pretty much is going to be about his butch mom.
You kind of do and dont I guess. His mom dies somewhere between the 2nd and 3rd movies, so the show is telling what happened to her ass.
Some of the comics that Dark Horse released back in the day about the Terminator was fucking sweet.
They even had Alien vs Predator vs Terminator.
I think there was a bunch of terminators that got fucked up by Skynet...sent back in time to the wrong year or materialized in a wall....could be that someone found those and remade Skynet.

Friedman: We're gonna go off on our own. I think the thing about T3 is, obviously there was just no Sarah Connor and that's something the fans were never happy with. I don't even think the people who made T3 were happy with that. It just wasn't a choice of theirs. You know, Linda Hamilton was going through some things and didn't want to be a part of it. They had a script at one point I know; there was a T3 that had Sarah in it. I've never read it. I don't know anything about it. But I know that they did and they wanted to do that. They wanted it to be kind of her trilogy, and it never could be. So I think that my feeling was this TV series to me sort of serves as the third act to that trilogy - what could have happened had we followed that after T2. So I almost think of this as T3. To me it takes the place of T3.But also I think that sort of in the spirit of Terminator, it's an alternate timeline. I know a lot of people get very worked up about the continuity and the canon and all that stuff. What I try to do is stay very, very true to the first two movies and then sort of take it from there. But always remain true to the spirit of everyone's intent and again, take some time with this woman and explore what maybe would have happened.
I tried watching it for 10 to 15 minutes before I switched channels.
For me the acting was horrible and the cinematography was bad as well.
I enjoyed all the Terminator movies but this tv series first episode did nothing for me.
I'll watch the next episode to see if there are any improvements.

I've heard that the model they sent back in the show is an upgrade of sorts. Still not a T-1000 or anything like that, but not quite the old model, either. I think they were supposed to be showing that when she ate a chip, something the older models wouldn't think to do.
At any rate, I think the premiere was a pretty solid setup. It wasn't epically great, but it was better than I expected it to be. The Terminators seem to be stronger than I remember them being, but it makes for good action scenes to see them toss things around.
Except... I do have to agree that it's odd that when two Terminators fight, their goto move amounts to "random tossing through walls".

Damn update read the wikipedia on Terminator 3. It seems James Cameron married and divorced Linda Hamilton. In the divorce she got the rights to terminator and sold them to the studio that produced it(Damn James). Terminator mythos is dead since the creator got cut out makes sense why I felt like T3 was ass. Pretty much this show is made by fanboys. I am done with it just waiting on Torchwood now.

Its possible that she was built by Humans, which is why she can copy them better then the other terminators.
