Anybody here read 'PIMP' by Iceberg Slim?

I'm about half way through and I like it alot, plenty of allegory if you can see through the pimp slang, I'm having to read a lil slower because as a younger kat, I'm unfamiliar with some of the slang, but it's a great read nonetheless, I heard Ice T was making a film based on these writings...Anyone read it? Thoughts?

Read Icberg Slim first about 15 years ago. I read it again last year. Its a classic! If you get a chance read some of Robert Beck's other books. I'd reccomend Mama Black Widow and Doom Fox. Oh and don't forget there's a glossary in the back to help with the slang.

Personally, I think it's gospel in how to deal with a woman in a relationship. Have used the philosophy for many years on the wife. Nothing to do with pimping, just the female mindset.

Interesting bit he did...the crowd's reaction was interesting too...maybe I'm reading too much into it but it was like they didn't get what he was tryna say...they only laughed and hollered @ choice words "nigga" "bitch" "ho" "watermelon" but they got quiet as hell when he made that point about the missing white girl
