Any OLD movie scenes you look back at now that make you CRINGE ?

“Belly.” When X was fucking around with and getting head from Vita whose character was 16. That whole relationship is cringy as fuck now.

I was a teenager when Belly came out, so I thought nothing of it. Now as an adult, naw. That’s too much.

However, Belly isn’t the only movie in the 90s that sexualized teenagers. The entire decade had movies sexualizing high schools starting at 16.

When you said cringe-worthy, the first thing that came to mind was BBD Do Me Baby. "Backstage, underage, adolescent, how you doing, fine she replied I like to do the Wild Thing. Action took place. Kind of like, don't forget the J the I the M, the M the Y y'all. I need a body bag"

Times have changed a lot dude. People knew 16 year olds were fucking grown dudes but didn't care. It just was what it was. Remember when Thelma on Good Times was 17 and engaged to 42 year old Louis Gossett Jr.? Or she was 16 and dating 21 year old Philip Michael Thomas? People didn't start feeling some sort of way about that until the 2000s.

Penitentiary when that dude was hell bent on trying to rape his cell mate. I cringed back then and still cringe to this day. A grown man trying to make another man "his stuff". SMH

When we hit 16, most of the girls in my class, especially the ones who had tittays, had 18+ year old boyfriends

I graduated in 1995. I don't remember anyone really saying anything about it or trying to stop it

This is true (and also said to be still be true in Japanese media)

Even as late as the Fast and Furious series, they sort of reference Letty and Dom having a bit of an age gap and Dom beginning to date her when she was 16.

The fucked up part is no one ever questioned that! They even said in “NE Heartbreak!”

Had a homie do bid for statutory rape. She was 15 and he was in he 30s. 16 is the age of consent in NC. Like y’all said, people knew. And some got caught up.

The crush and American beauty. We're the most guilty parties
