I strongly dislike Houston (traffic, crime, humidity, no building zoning, and more) but there are people there who like it.
There is practically no public assistance, so unless you are independently wealthy (and can stand the medical care), you'll need to know what your odds of finding a job in your career field are.

Most of my gripes with Houston may be surface level, but they are important to me. I'm a lover of architecture and traditional looking buildings. Unfortunately, businesses in Houston are so driven by profits, that every building that goes up is as functional and basic as possible. The result? Streets with schools, offices and stores that all look like giant shoe boxes. It is very ugly.Houston is the shit. The food, the weather, the women. Im flyin back out there next month.
