Any of y'all in Houston, Tx???

Why so many people trying to move to our city though? I swear on at least 3 different message boards I read "Hey I'm moving to Houston" every week.

What gives?

A lot of people have heard that Houston is a great city for jobs.

It's like that in every city in Texas now... Damn near half of my homies from college had moved to TX by the time I moved back here.... and most people I see who just moved here are coming from Cali. Back in the day it was the other way around, though.

I gotta feeling that it'll change my life;)

When I lived in ATL, the dudes who were from there always talked about how it ain't even the same city since the Olympics cause everybody from everywhere else moved there and took over. I laughed about it at the time. Then I moved back home to Houston.... I'm not laughin anymore... I see exactly what they meant.

I'm gonna start lyin and tellin people that Houston is horrible, LOL.

I live in Houston. But i miss Cali though. :( expensive as hell but i enjoyed my years there. Houston does have opportunity as long as you have the resume. Weather sucks though

* If you want the thots, hang around 610 south loop. If you want a dime to wife up, put on the best shit you got in the closet, make sure your hair and face are cut and lined up, and head to RA Sushi on Westheimer in River Oaks... Thank me later..... Also, make sure you car is freshly washed because they valet and everyone will see what you're stepping out of.... Not that it matters too much... Most girls here are not that materialistic.

* Every Fat Tuesday of each year, EVERY Pappadeaux in town gets overrun with Creole women... It's like a Creole bitch tsunami in there.... Make sure you mark that day on your calendar each year.

* Many people don't know this, but Houston actually has more strip clubs than ANY city in the world (over 60 of them, with new ones popping up each day), and they pretty much all stay open till 6am, or at least 4am... It's customary for everybody to hit the strip club after the regular club, so you will see a bunch of stripper dimes and regular girl dimes all in the same spot. Strippers all across the country, not to mention Central America, know about Houston, so they all come down here to work.... and here in Houston, it's normal for a stripper to date a dude from the club... I was just at Sam's Boat with one yesterday.

* An actual quote from Charles Barkley on why he came to Houston and joined the Rockets: "No state tax, and the titty bars don't close"

* Grand Lux Cafe across from the Galleria... Kona Grill in the Galleria... Gringo's in Pearland....

* Another little-known fact: Houston has a larger arts district than any city in the U.S. except New York, so if you wanna do something artsy, you will have a LOT of choices.

* Sam's Boat on Sunday nights.... Just be on the lookout... Some of the girls are prostitutes, but they blend in real well.

* Pearland is the closest thing to an affluent black neighborhood in Houston. Everywhere else has black people, too, but in Pearland you can definitely notice that it's densely populated with black people who have money in their pockets.

* First Fridays at Uptown Hookah next to Sam's Boat. They do live Reggae outside and have an astoundingly large number of drunk dimes inside. I don't think I've ever gone there and not pulled a dime. It's just SO easy to win in there.

* Cheddars on Beltway 8 and Westpark STAYS packed. I've got about a 60%-70% win percentage over there... Go at 2pm on a Saturday and chill at the bar. If you wait until 3 then you won't get a seat so make sure you're there by 2. You will start to see dimes showing up left and right all around you. Some are just hanging out. Some are getting ready to go do something but want to grab a drink first, and some are strippers who just woke up and are coming by to pick up a to-go order... ALL of these women are down.... all of them...

* El Patio on Westheimer close to Voss (Hillcroft): What can I say about this place? It's my personal favorite happy hour spot, except for me it's more like Happy FIVE Hours. They have a separate section of the restaurant called "Club No Minor" that you have to be at least 21 to sit in. It's very dark in there and there is a painting of a naked woman on the wall. They have a drink called a Blue Margarita that uses a secret recipe that involves silver tequila and blue curacao and some other shit. Basically, it's the most potent, yet easily drinkable, margarita that you will ever consume, and as a result in only takes a few small glasses to get you completely fucked up. This is very important, since El Patio is very well known and so most people that come in have either had the Blue Margarita or have heard about it, so when you see a table full of girls (which you will definitely see quite often) and the waiter brings a blue pitcher, you know exactly what's gonna happen. I can't even tell you about all of the crazy shit that I've seen and done in there, since half of it I don't even remember the next day. Let's just say that I have seen quite a few bare breasts in there and on more than one occasion have made out with every single girl at the table in the same night, not to mention watched them make out with each other. Smashing a chick from there is pretty much a given. Hell, one of my homeboys just MARRIED a chick that we met there and got kids on the way with her. I've long since lost count of how many random people's cars that I've jumped into to go to whatever next spot that we just decided to go to even though I had just met the people that night. I also can't count how many random people that I just met who have jumped into MY car..... This place is a treasure... I wanna go right now, LOL

* Floyd fights on Saturday, so Prospect Park on Fountainview should be jumpin off quite nicely. If not there, then Diablo Loco on Richmond is cool, or Mezzanine Lounge on 59 and Shepherd (they got tv's in the bathroom and a mirror above the urinal so that you can watch the tv behind you while you takin a piss. I like that a bit more than I should), or any Twin Peaks, or Sam's Boat, or any Buffalo Wild Wings, or Vivid Live, which is a strip club on Winrock and Westheimer behind Ruchi's (Montana Fishburne was working there a couple weeks ago. Haven't seen her in a while though, but the manager says she still works there). Most of the places charge about 15 bucks to get in on fight night.

* Chula's on I-10 between Gessner and the beltway (across from City Centre) is basically a Hispanic/Black version of Hooters and Twin Peaks. When it's warm enough, which is most of the year, the girls that work in there pretty much just wear bikinis.... and almost all of them are thick, pretty, and have FAT asses. I think they have the fight, too, but I'm not sure.

* DO NOT SLEEP on karaoke.... The girls here in Houston fuckin LOVE that shit. If you take a girl to karaoke, or meet a bunch of girls at a restaurant and suggest that they follow you and your homies to karaoke, or just show up at a karaoke bar and start talking to the girls that are there, you will win more times than you will lose. Once they get in there, they are going to want to sing, but they will need to get drunk first. After they've sung, then they start to feel all sexy and confident and shit, so you've got a drunk dime who's feeling sexy, and you're the guy standing in front of her....

Bro its so hot down here....Its humid as fuck....at night sometimes its still 75-80 degrees.
Don't complain, nigga. At da peak of summer, it might still be a hunnud sum'n degrees out this bitch late night. As a Southerner, I can somewhat deal w/da humidity. Not sayin' I want to but it's dealable.

Why so many people trying to move to our city though? I swear on at least 3 different message boards I read "Hey I'm moving to Houston" every week.

Lets see PGH 200k for a house you might get 1500 sq ft

Houston 200k you getting at least 2500 sq ft

I'm in San Diego & wanna move but my wife doesn't wanna leave...What do you miss about Cali?...

Why you wanna move???

ATL>>>>>>>>> San Diego!

Lived in the A all my life bruh & living out here, feel's like I'm small town living! Social scene sucks compared to Atlanta. We frequent LA a lot but that shit is almost 2 hrs. away! The scenery & weather out here is probably the best in the country but shit, I miss the south! Basically I'm home sick...:lol::lol:
