I started watching "Ranking of Kings" I'm enjoying it a lot..
Just saw solo leveling this passed weekend.
It reminds me of a Hellsing Ultimate that is heavily influenced by One Punch Man.
It's no OPM but it is worth watching.

I've seen both animes you mentioned and I don't see it at all.
Now,the anime I see SL being heavily influenced and that's Sword Art Online...It's basically an adult version of SAO.
While,there's been MMORPG animes before SAO. SAO took the genre to a whole level before Solo Leveling was created.
There are a lot of anime that follow the same concept as solo leveling. I saw one last year where dude found a secret portal to another world and he had to do missions to level up. But I didnt finish it.

Outside the Beru fight,Jinwoo pretty much struggles in the manhwa. Not to the point where he's about to die but he does struggle in the manhwa.
That's been my issue with Japan adapting Korean comics because the pacing is too fast. It goes from A to G to Z in a blink of an eye.

The producer and director is working on another anime. It will probably be 2027 until season 3 comes out.
The two beings at the end play an important part for the rest of the series.

Solo leveling was EXCELLENT. Man the fight scenes go hard.

Nah never seen those hate those really. Im surprised solo was that good. But I have seen the first season of overlord tho.
I'm not surprised because A-1 Pictures has other projects to do. Also,the producer said on the Crunchyroll panel that he wants his animators to see their families. The anime and manga industry are very demanding to the point that people's health are in jeopardy....
