@*@*@ Anger Is One Letter Short Of Danger @*@*@

My motto has always been NEVER LET EM SEE YOU SWEAT. But even I get short-fused and bubble over sometimes. Have you ever just got so frustrated you blew up or let someone really piss you off about anything from nagging-gossiping-insulting-sabotage.
I realized that after an angry exchange you can be affected for hours or even days as you endlessly go over the event in your mind. Just burning up with angry feelings, adding to them and getting yourself all worked up. And during this period your mood is being ruled by the memory of the person with whom you are angry with. You are not in charge anymore and you have now become a victim of the event.
Some experts say you should “EXPRESS” your anger rather than bottle it up. They point out that suppressing anger can lead to heart disease and other health problems. Other experts say that expressing anger makes things worse because it exacerbates the situation and can have unpleasant consequences for your relationships, career, and even your personal freedom. I already know about identifying the triggers and breaking down the different types of anger. But when you get mad you don’t think about all that stuff. I’m just trying to get some feedback on different methods people use to express & control it.

You really should practice what you preach. I posted a joke and you let your emotions take hold of you and deleted your thread. Why? I thought you should never let them see you sweat. I'm just saying, if you don't use your own advice, I wouldn't want it to be given. That's like taking calm discussion lessons from BiGirl or rapping lessons from Mcguyver.

And why do you always put those symbols in the titles of each one of your threads??? Just asking is all.

Actually, I was laughing it was very funny

:lol:Then I deleted it because I thought it may just be a waste of time. But, then I changed my mind and said "no lets see what happens". I use symbols because I like to be creative and different i guess. And I'm not trying to give advise I was asking for it.

I try to never let most people see me get angry, ESPECIALLY at work. I see folks smash phones, cursin, trippin, it's stupid. First of all, you can't think clearly when you're goin off, and I have to keep my mind clear. Secondly, I don't want the negative energy in my life. Most folks, I know, think I'm the calmest person they've ever met. I just handle anger differently.

Yeah having 3rd Day Resurrection call my child a period-bleedin' ho in the R.Kelly thread did that for me. :hmm:

BTW Fem, that should answer your question as to why brothers don't discuss their kids on here. That comment had me ready to track his ass down in Cali and handle that shit. Lady Scorp calmed me down about the whole thing though. (Thank you hon)

That's cool though, I have a long memory and he is not nearly as clever as he thinks he is.

We'll see who has the last laugh on that one. :hmm:

Mr Mabry do I have to start your anger management sessions now or what? :hmm:

Let it go man. Its not worth the energy that it'll take. He did what he did to get you to this point hun. I know you better than that. I am not saying to forget what he said but do NOT allow him to let you get destructive you know.

A "man" would not have to stoop that low and demean your children in order to "win" a discussion. I mean c'mon that his personal demons hun.

Negative people love to share it, dear. They get some type of vibe off of that, only if we allow them to. I am happy to calm your ass down any time by the way.

Peace

Murdering is what I do for fun

Don't be highlighting me with he :smh: :hmm:

 You don't love me no more? :(

So do you hold it in?
I just look at things differently. A lotta things peeps get angry about, they have NO control over, anyway. I'm something of a control freak, and that starts with how I control my thoughts & actions...if I'm angry, I can't think logically. If I'm not thinking logically, then whatever I do, think, next will prolly be screwed up. This is as natural, to me, as reacting angrily is to some people.

dont pay attention to lady scorp instigating/she tryna make me battle, keep waitin
keep trippin her dreadlocks Ima grab and pull/and ride her around like a raging bull

CO-SIGN!!!

I am known as the "mediator" at work. I hate meetings to begin with, and I spend most meetings trying to keep people from each others throats and on topic. People quickly go from stating an opposing opinion on a topic to attacking the other person on all levels. Often I need to tell workers to take a walk or walk them into the hallway where they break down into tears as they are so wound up over something (usually something they cannot control or change).

People see me as an island of calm (some people used to call me Spock -). I get angry as well, but deal with it in different ways. At worst, I'll walk out my anger or put on some music and focus on something else. To deal with general anger and work frustrations, I write, read, go onto this site -- try to expend the negative energy in productive ways.

That's me 100 friggn % I'm always the one mediating at my job. I just try to see things from two perspectives, always. I damn near wrote the same thing about Spock in my previous post...I just deal with logic...emotional shit gets my head cloudy.
