My motto has always been NEVER LET EM SEE YOU SWEAT. But even I get short-fused and bubble over sometimes. Have you ever just got so frustrated you blew up or let someone really piss you off about anything from nagging-gossiping-insulting-sabotage.
I realized that after an angry exchange you can be affected for hours or even days as you endlessly go over the event in your mind. Just burning up with angry feelings, adding to them and getting yourself all worked up. And during this period your mood is being ruled by the memory of the person with whom you are angry with. You are not in charge anymore and you have now become a victim of the event.
Some experts say you should “EXPRESS” your anger rather than bottle it up. They point out that suppressing anger can lead to heart disease and other health problems. Other experts say that expressing anger makes things worse because it exacerbates the situation and can have unpleasant consequences for your relationships, career, and even your personal freedom. I already know about identifying the triggers and breaking down the different types of anger. But when you get mad you don’t think about all that stuff. I’m just trying to get some feedback on different methods people use to express & control it.
