Angela Bassett Made It Clear She Had No Interest In Taking On The Lead Role In Halle Berry's Monster's Ball

I elaborated on this comment you made...
"
(Translation: White boys also wanted to fuck her...)"

what was your point?
My point was, she's considered highly desirable by men of both races. (Both Black & White)
You focused on solely her sex life with White men.
I then pointed out the fact that she's married Black men and is current with a Black man.

So, please, explain why you chose to focus on this one aspect of her life...

Man stfu, you in here trying to argue for the sake of arguing. You speaking for both races? FOH.

No.
You addressed me 1st.
I'm simply trying to understand why you'd go there.... :dunno:

I ain't addressed shit I elaborated on a statement you made and you took some weird offense to it and try to make it seem like I said she only fuck White guys. You don't have a monopoly on statements/responses. I could flip it and ask you how the fuck you know White men in Hollywood "desire" her? You speaking for them?

Wow.
That's really a tough one...
What proof could I provide that White boys desire Halle Berry...?
Let me think...
:puzzled:

Oh, wait...

These are just a small sample of magazines featuring Halle that are almost universally marketed to and for White men...

Not to mention this magazine cover which is generally aimed to White people on the whole...

This task wasn't really difficult at at all.
I found these things without really trying...

It took all of 6 minutes to complete.

You found a magazines that put the most popular black female actress at the time on the cover. Yeah, you are a genius at this.

I'm not doing this beat around the bush bullshit so let's lay this out

Halle is a biracial woman who got famous off the strength of being a biracial woman who could walk the line of being safe enough for white folk, while also appealing to black folk.

Men OVERALL were feeling her based on her complexion.

So say what you have to say bruh, she a biracial who's white adjacent with black appeal.
Look, I don't even like Halle like that but even I know that its not just her skin tone. Let's not forget that Halle was a Miss World contestant. She was a pageant girl before she was an actress. Rain Pryor is mixed, too. I don't see anyone bringing her up. It takes more than skin tone.
Halle is undeniably beautiful, even though she had a rep back in the day.
As far as I know, she's always claimed black. She got ran through by hella brothas before she started messing with white guys and even that was short-lived for her.
I would argue that men were feeling her based on her looks, not her complexion.
I don't see anybody turning backflips for Maya Rudolph around these parts.

Exactly.
- All of which feature Halle on the cover.
- All are generally White themed and White marketed magazines.
- All of which are dedicated to featuring and highlighting her beauty and desirability.

Hey, bro.
You issued the challenge.
I'm just answering it... :dunno:

That's cool for Angela. Kept HER morals intact. Not gonna Bash Halle for doing the role either. I was disappointed in Angela for not taking the Storm role as I thought she was perfect for it. The irony now is she got an award for her role in Black Panther and the Killed her off. I think Halle and Angela are both magnificent actresses and have great bodies of work.

Monster's Ball is still a movie I will never watch and I wish Halle had turned it down like Angela Bassett did because of its demeaning sexual characterization and promiscuous portrayal of black women. :hmm:

The movie was going to be made and the Oscar was going to be handed out to the mactress of the role.

Basset’s role in Black Panther was amazing. “Have I not given everything?” is my go-to quote when my son asks for stuff.

angella basset did a lesbian scene with lady gaga and i do believe she has a ir scene with a white man on scene

Yeah, I remembered that scene she did with lady gaga but i don't know about a scene with a white guy but if you can find it, please post it.

Even watching the trailer you still will not expect what the movie is about

I'm not sure exactly how we got to this point in the conversation, but this is low-key one of my favorite Angela Bassett performances, along with being a much better movie than most people remember. Every time I argue that I wanted her to be Storm, I point to this movie as my closing argument.

It's okay if nobody knew. But she does not look like a black woman with two black parents to me and never did.

All these biracials have a "look" to then in the same way you can line up a Nigerian, Ethiopian, Black American, and still tell they're different.

Tracy Ellis Ross has that same look with the cheeks and widened eyes.

But I know black people also look past that when it comes to brown skin and claiming everyone as their own, so I digress.
Look at this niggas avatar  . You're a special kind

Does Vanessa Williams look "like a black woman with two black parents"...? (Which; of course, they are...)

Does Melyssa Ford look like both her parents are Black? (Which they aren't.)

She dies not look like a fully black woman to me, and I'm sure her father was a biracial as well.

Movie cost over 100 million to make back in the 90s and bomb big time in the theatre.. with that said definitely 1 of my favorite slept on movies. Action thriller with a lot of twist. All the actors did their thing.. like I said the trailer basically throws you off cause you expect one thing and it’s completely different than what you expected
