You sure about that? (I already know you're wrong for the most part). :D Their profits have fallen for seven straight quarters.:smh:

TSMC & Samsung fab the chips but that will be ending as early as next year (replaced by Intel). Apple doesn't need them.

Below article from 2012:lol:

Apple picks new battery supplier, drops Samsung

:smh::smh::smh:

apple divorces TSMC and goes BACK TO SAMSUNG for A9 chipset

"While Apple had hoped to rely more heavily on Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. to fabricate the Ax family of processors used in its iOS devices, the company has turned to Samsung for its next-generation A9 chip, according to people with knowledge of the situation."

:dunno: you might want to start selling your stock in TSMC.

The Intel chip article is from last week. & what about the batteries? Bye Scamsung.

the phones they've been making and the phone you have now likely have samsung components; they've been making money right along with apple the whole way. your phone says, 'apple' but it's heart (and power source) = samsung & some TSMC.

that article is about intel BIDDING to get the work... which means they're in the development process to get the bid. they have 1000 people working on it... meaning, it's not done.

for that amount of money, intel will deliver, and esp. because apple WANTS TO break their relationship with samsung. but they keep coming back. :smh:

Apple will never be able to get rid of Samsung completely, they or one of their affiliates manufacture too much.

Apple may still own the smartphone throne in the U.S., but even with 48 million iPhones sold last quarter, Samsung continues to dominate the worldwide market. In Q3 2015, the South Korean company shipped more smartphones than any other company. In fact, Samsung out-shipped the next two smartphone makers, Apple and Huawei, combined.]

84.5 million shipped vs. 48 million shipped... Yeah, Samsung is struggling like a son of a bitch
...However Apple has been releasing 2 phones a year for the last 4 years. Prior to that it was only one handset a year. In 2014, Samsung made 54 different handsets, so of course the numbers look like that.

Now who has the hottest selling phone?

For starters:

2015
According to Counterpoint, the Galaxy S6 series is mostly cannibalizing other Android phones, including Samsung's. Apple's iPhone 6 and 6 Plus in April remained the world's No. 1 and No. 2 best-selling smartphones, shipping in volumes 51% higher than the iPhone 5S and 5C, according to Counterpoint.Jun 2, 2015

2014
Apple sold a record 74.8 million iPhones in the fourth quarter of 2014, giving it 20.4% of the global smartphone market, according to new research from Gartner. That was enough to push Apple (AAPL, Tech30) ahead of Samsung (SSNLF), which had 19.9% of the market in the quarter.Mar 3, 2015

From 2009 to 2015, among all smartphones, the top selling new handset each year was an iPhone.

"Shipped" phones is the only way Android can stay relevant.

As the form factor + unique functionality in modern-day smart phones go, we know who started it.

Even though I roll with Apple, I like how the other companies are competing. It keeps everybody on their toes, trying to release better and better product. The consumer wins.

^^^^ This

Is samsung the only phone maker using Android OS? Plus, Samsung is still slapping Apple ass so don't fix none of my damn posts Son... :hmm:

How many times do we have to go through this. Apple's goal has never been to have the most market share, they want the most profit and have always held the title there. Samsung is number one in Android sales, but they aren't really making much if any money at it. The same goes with most of the other android makers
