A gunman shot and killed two people at a Florida yoga studio before killing himself Friday evening.
The shooter targeted Hot Yoga Tallahassee located within an upscale shopping enclave.
Scott Paul Beierle, 40, allegedly walked into the studio and started spraying bullets at class participants, before fatally shooting himself, Tallahassee Police Chief Michael DeLeo said, USA Today reported.
The victims were identified as Dr. Nancy Van Vessem, 61, and Maura Binkley, 21.
At least four other people were injured in the tragic incident. Their conditions at this time are unknown.
Ten people are believed to have attended the class. The instructor was uninjured, a source said, according to USA Today.
Tallahassee City Commissioner Scott Maddox reacted to the grim event on Facebook.
“In my public service career, I have had to be on some bad scenes. This is the worst. Please pray,” he said.
Some of the victims ran down to the Bar at Bretton, located below the yoga studio, according to a witness.
A man with a bloody head said he tried to stop the shooter but was pistol-whipped before the gunman shot himself.
