Amway or Scamway

No I won't. First of all, I would not invest what I could not afford, right now I waste a lot of money so it would feel good doing something positive with it. Second, I know plenty of ways to advertise web sites, I have just never done it for myself. I think it would be a fun thing to set up, if I ever get around to it.

Well, you might not spend any money...but tons of people who start their first site will. They might buy marketing or design books, or pay to get some programming work done, probably pay some money for advertising, etc. The same hardships that people in Amway go through is the same hardships they'd typically go through starting up another business with little or no money and no experience, they're likely to struggle and fail.

Fine, I just hope they don't do it for Amway.

So do you recommend Amway or not?

Businesses with a lower barriers to entry will simply have higher failure rates. A person opening up a store in a busy mall is way more likely to be successful then say a person who makes a website to products from a drop shipping company. The person who gets the store in the mall has the money to stock, pay for rent and market a dollar business. The sheer finance and resources make it more likely to succeed. The person who builds a website to resell products likely won't have the buying power to compete with other sites, nor have the money to create a decent web presence. The person starting the website is also far less likely to have the business skills of the person who opens a new store.

I wouldn't get into retail at a small level unless I had enough money to do a big push or had a way to get products for a super competitive rate, because success in such a scenario would be rather difficult.

So I personally wouldn't join Amway or recommend it because there are many other opportunities that I'd prefer, that doesn't mean I'd talk bad about it, or tell a person they couldn't make it.

Gotta throw a lil gas on this discussion... How do ya'll feel about using a network marketing business for tax write off's?

I think we agree. You would not join Amway either. I know you don't think its right to discourage people but am not doing that, I am just reporting what I see, and what I have read. And I am ONLY talking about Amway, not whatever you are doing.

My complaint was more the reasons people were hating on Amway. If you hate it because you don't like the products or you don't think they're competitive enough, fine. If you on them because because because they experience problems that people in any business opportunity can experience or act like there aren't sucesses, that's when I take offense.

I don't know why YOU would take offense, that's not my problem. I don't "hate" on anything, I just spoke the way I feel about the company and the more research I do the worse the company looks. You would not recommend the company, and neither would I so we have nothing else to discuss. I'm going to bed, my work is done here.

In this thread, all I've said is that it isn't a scam and it's possible to make money with it if you're good at that type of stuff, I never endorsed Amway or said that they were the best company/opportunity out there.

Wow this little Amway thread certainly has grown.

Good job on defending mlm or network marketing or whatever term anyone wants to call it. You had people twisting all types of ways and changing subjects and whatnot. People let's get educated. Being an entrepreneur is not always easy and is not a guaranteed automatic paycheck despite all the hyped up sales talk or infomercial or whatever.

The mlm topic has always sparked spirited debates for decades and its perfectly understandable. People are scared, afraid and skeptical. The first word that automatically comes to mind for the masses of poverty minded individuals who have failed several times repeatedly in life is the word "scam".

For those open to a different viewpoint look at it this way: Always listen to those who have had real life success in doing whatever it is that you want to do. Don't listen to broke friends and family or those with a biased agenda. There are always two sides.

We have all been scammed before. All of us. Just look before you leap next time but don't stop leaping. It takes faith to leap again but not blind faith.

Yep, there's two sides of the coin. However, you'll never get anywhere just listening to people who failed and totally ignoring those who don't.

If it's not for you, it's not for you....but don't just go to demonizing stuff that some people do well on.

This was my point back on page 3...never thought this thing would go the distance:smh:

This thread was NEVER about MLM, its about Amway. As much as you are arguing about "don't listen to people who failed", you would not recommend Amway either, so why keep defending Amway??? All anyone has to do is google this company and they'll know the truth so why are you still defending a company that your would not recommend? This is an Amway thread man!!!!

This boggles the mind. :smh:

Apparently, you haven't been reading any of my posts. I've consistently said that I'm not in Amway, nor did I ever say it was a great program. I just defended it against being a scam and told people to be weary of only listening to failure or people who think the whole business model is a scam. The thread title itself says "Amway or Scamway" and some of the links you provided said it was a scam in no other words, so don't play like I switched directions.

No one ever criticized the business model, that was never done by anyone. Once again, this is an Amway thread, not a business model thread. I don't care about your business model and no one here ever insulted your business model. This is STILL an Amway thread and little research tells why a lot of people think its a "scam" and it does not necessarily have to do with their personal shortcomings. Honestly, I think you believe its a scam yourself but are too proud to admit it and still hide behind your "business model".

Have fun.

Come on fam, you're totally ignoring the other posts in this thread and the actual title and your own posts and links to try to change shit up to make it like I was arguing about some irrelevant shit.

If you don't like Amway, then more power to you fam.... I came in this thread before you and and after you to knock the bullshit reasons why niggas hate on enterprise.

It makes money? It's a scam. It doesn't make money? It's a scam. You got to pay money to join? It's a scam. It's Free to join? It's a scam.

Motherfuckers on this board will twist and turn to find any reason to hate on anything that is not a job or normal business.

My own posts and links always talked about Amway. Google it. Looks like a scam to me. I'm still just talking about Amway. No matter how many ways you twist it, I am and always have been talking about Amway.

And like I've said repeatedly, it's not a scam. Whether or not you think it's a great opportunity, doesn't make it a scam. Unless you're trying to change up the definition of what a "scam" is.
