Americans with a college degree saw wages decline the most in two decades, per Bloomberg.

In 2022, median annual pay was $52,000 for Americans with a bachelor’s degree, according to data released by the New York Federal Reserve Friday.

That’s a 7.4% decline in inflation-adjusted terms — the steepest plunge since 2004, erasing nearly all of the pandemic-era gains. It was sharpest for those earning the most.

Meanwhile, wages accelerated 6% in real terms to $34,320 for those with only a high-school diploma — the biggest gain in more than two decades.

Recent graduates are still able to find work pretty quickly, with an unemployment rate of 4.1% in December. That compares with 3.9% in March 2020.

My barber was working at Walmart in the DMV area making $14 an hour. Now, somewhere in SC or maybe NC, you might be able to survive, but in the DMV that ain't SHIT....

It's funny, I was talking to the HAVOC dude a few weeks ago and he was telling me how much he makes at his company. While I wasn't surprised, what was interesting was the benefits...His wife is a teacher and he has a better health plan than here....

Depends on the state and city/ area you live in. You definitely can get a high paying job in nyc with just a ged/ highschool diploma . It also dosent have to be a trade. As I’ve said on here b4 1 of the best and quiet circuits you can work for in nyc is a union hotel job. Lot of those careers start you at the $ 24+ an hr range or more depending job. With night differential, benefits, yrly raises, lots of overtime, depending what position tips, bonuses, etc. there’s a reason why they are very secretive about those jobs and many times you have to be put on by someone that’s already plugged in. It’s a reason why certain people will literally have their spouses, siblings, children, etc working at the same place or in the same genre. Lot of people making 6 figs a yr. Lot of connections and networking. As I’ve said on here b4 1 of my best friends make over 90,000 a yr( b4 you add in overtime, bonuses, etc/ he makes 6 figs once you include everything) literally moving chairs and tables for the hall at his hotel. He said many of days he sits around doing shit collecting free money, sometimes if he actually does something it’s probably for an hr or 2 at most, put 10 chairs here 3 tables there for some small conference with some outside company that had to use his hotel for a meeting.. he like there’s security that’s making 40 an hr not including overtime or night differential at his spot. So many people clocking 6 figs and most people have no idea or look down at hotel employee not knowing them workers more likely make more money than them.. this is just one circuit of several circuits in ny that zero college is needed to make really good money in this town. You can work for Metro or certain DC Gov. jobs only require a HS Diploma so you are 100%...

My homeboy dad worked for NYC Metro and retired when he was in his early 50s. Moved to NC, built a house, and gets a pension check every month....Dude is in his 80s now and hasn't work in 30 years....

HIMMS is the main show based around medical tech in general while the others are more focused on certain modalities and specialties.
