I am from a 35 square mile island. Ask anyone in my country from a crackhead to a fisherman to a plumber to a doctor and anything inbetween these questions and they could answer them.Dr. Munhihausen II said:hmmmmmm
This is biased until average citizens who are living their everyday lives from a different country are posted.
Matter of fact, I would like at least 30 countries compared in this nature.

sirrcharrles said:This shit was funny, but lets be honest, they probably only showed the 1-5% of those who were way out in left field. I answered all the questions without a blink. The press will show you want they want to show you so that you will think the way they want you to think.
To be fair, we get alot of international programming. The real BBC not BBC America and all kinds of Indian and Dutch and Caribbean and South American. Also people do not watch tv as much as in the states. Our schooling is alot tougher and more comprehensive than the states as well. Not just my island but most of them. So I could add in most of the other Caribbean islands with my country and we have just about 30 countries.Dr. Munhihausen II said:The crack heads down there are that aware?
lol
Still, thats YOUR island.
I need 29 more countries.
BTW...what kind of TV programming is down there and how importnant is the boob tube?

St Maarten, St Martin, St. Kitts, Nevis, Anguilla, Antigua, Tortola, Barbados, Jamaica, St. Vincent, Grenada, St. Lucia, Dominica, Martinique, Guadaloupe, Trinidad, Tobago, Saba, St. Eustatius, Bermuda, Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao (ok 23)
thats you in the video right?sitai said:americans arent less intelligent

I completely agree with you. Its an uphill battle to not succumb to all of that. Very few succeed. I posted alot about that in my Bohemian Grove thread. I try not to watch Amerikkkan tv at all.Dr. Munhihausen II said:Ah HA!
See, the existence of mind numbing entertainment is why our awareness is sub par making other countries appear exceptional.
American broadcasting stations literally feed their audiences sensationalized methods of news coverage.
.....but what is news?
Was Brittany Spears head shaving "news"?
Was Nicole Ritchie's death "news"?
Oh wait....Ron Imus...that was "news" wasnt it?
My point is that since we are bombarded by bullshit stories on a constant basis...the cup which runneths over of bullshiteth leaves no room for news with substance.
If the interviewer would have asked those same people about Brittany Spears, or Nicole Ritchie...we would have seen the opposite results.

I watch the local news for a weather report, a traffic report and a transit report. Thats it.Dr. Munhihausen II said:Now, I have a tv that I use to watch the local news from time to time and downloaded movies.

ever notice how when some big shit is going on in the govt such as new laws being passed or something, there is always some big celebrity scandal that takes up all the news stations all day so nobody hears about what really happened?iron mask said:news media is notorious for pretty much editing any content they get into a lie that fits what they want it to say.
ever notice how on the local news, that when they interveiw almost anybody you they always cut the audio so you only hear what they want you to hear.

Look I've had people here ask me if the Caribbean is a country in Africa. I have also had people ask what continent Africa was on. I have even met people who wanted to know what state Canada was in.DJCandle said:Word is bond ma, this shit is everyday life here in America. People here are ever so sheltered and naive to what's going on outside of thier little world it's pathetic. In places where the get the rich get richer, the poor get poorer. This is one of the richest countries in the world, you do the math.
It's funny how a majority of people on here find this "spoofed" or "staged." All you'd have to do is walk outside with a video camera and ask the same set of questions. Watch how similar your responses would turn up.
Peace, and excellent post.1,000th post worthy.

Yes, I argue with American tourists all the time at home. They say dumb shit like its so sad the poverty in my country. Guess what? WE DON'T HAVE ANY POVERTY!!!! Nobody is homeless and everyone eats well. These dumb fucks just don't understand our lifestyle. We don't need a bunch of fancy material shit to show off. Our lives are rich with different things like family and culture. I have to curse these people out and tell them to check their own country for the poverty with all the millions of homeless and starving there. OK rant finished.
