AMC/Regal/Cineworld Theaters may go bankrupt (CINEWORLD GOES DOWN!)

Because they are being lax with them down payment rules......if you’re not in bankrupt so you basically get a house easy right now. Also we are in a housing bubble.

That’s actually not true. A lot of lenders upped their fico score to get approval.

Hmm,, closing down amc spots don't surprise me one bit!! We're in the early stages of a paradigm shift in the entertainment industry!! Just about everyone has a decent size hdtv/4k tv. I'm sure they are figuring out a way to push those movies straight your home..
They better

If movies are only in your home, the quality of movies will die down.
It will not be a money making industry anymore.
Therefore you will get a lot of shit movies.

People don't seem to get that.

People will point out the rare low budget good theater movie, but skip over the hundreds of mediocre and shitty Netflix and cable movies. That would be the future.

So rooting for theaters to fail is backwards as fuck. You aren't winning.

Not only aren't you winning entertainment wise, society wise too.
You do not want an industry to fail.
You do not want thousands of people losing their jobs!
It can destroy not only them but YOU.
I am not going to type all the reasons why cause it is too much to type.

It just shows that very few major posters on this board went to college and paid attention.

Very few.

They learned from the last housing market bubble to hide shit better. Every time they push these movies back it hurts the theater business model makes you wonder are they doing it on purpose because they have to know it is hurting them.

You clearly don’t understand what happened with the last housing crash. The practices that were in play back then aren’t today. Any and everyone was getting approved back then. Especially with those adjustable rate mortgages. Raising the required FICO score to get a loan keeps people with bad credit from getting a home. It’s more protections today. Back in 2007 it was some predatory ass lending.

Why would you release a block buster movie today? Literally no one would go see it. Are you even thinking about what you’re saying ?

Honestly, I'm more pissed off about the small businesses, the small restaurants like the Jamaican restaurants the ones with actual Jamaicans cooking the food) went out of business since the virus hit.
Some of the restaurants have been getting hit hard around Alpharetta Georgia area to even the standard chains Restaurants been getting hit hard

Yup. Think about the small restaurants AROUND movie theatres that get traffic from movie goers.

I do not know about y'all but I will eat at a nearby restaurant before I spend 30 dollars on popcorn.

No clue how people still buy popcorn and candy at a theatre.

And the key here is Covid and people money is getting very tight right now so those two things do not add up to a pleasant entertainment experience this is also why Disney world is in trouble

Bruh, the last chick I dated was weird like that. Chick just HAD to get that expensive stale ass movie popcorn...even after we went to dinner before

And/or, I can sneak in drinks but she wants the slushie at the theater. She's institutionalized...like Brooks was

I knew a chick like that too. She would buy shit just to have it and never eat it and waste my money.
She married to a super rich nigga though. Happy as fuck.
