All -Time NFL Team

After seeing that Irvin got into the Hall earlier it got me to thinking about who I would put on my all-time team. My only rule for this is that the team has to consist of only players I've seen play(sorrry Jim Brown highlights don't count or you'd be on the team). I don't have that much time or I'd tell u who my backups would be. Maybe I'll add them later. I know alot of people are gonna disagree with some of my picks.

QB - Steve Young
He could throw some pinpoint passes and when he had to he'd run somebody over.

RB - Barry Sanders
In my opinion Barry was the G.O.A.T. Anybody who saw him play can understand why I'd say that.

FB - "Ironhead" Heyward(R.I.P.)
The name says it all.

WR1 - Jerry Rice
Enough said.

WR2 - Cris Carter
This was a tough one because there was alot of competition for this spot. I could have went with Irvin, Monk, Reed, Moss, Owens..... the list goes on and on. Carter had some hands. I can't even remember him dropping a pass he got his hands on.

TE - Tony Gonzalez

Offensive Line - '94 Cowboys
I've never been a fan of the Cowboys but the line is the best I ever saw. Imagine what Barry Sanders would have done if he had this line.

CB1 - Deion Sanders
He couldn't hit for shit but you wasn't catching shit on him.

CB2 - Darren Woodson(Steelers Years)
He was fast as hell. He could cover just about anybody and he could hit.

FS & SS - Ronnie Lott and Steve Atwater
Nobody would try to catch anything over the middle unless the wanted to be taken out on a stretcher. Ed Reed would be the backup.

LB's - Lawrence Taylor, Ray Lewis and Mike Singletary
Some of the hardest hitters ever.

DE's - Bruce Smith and Reggie White(R.I.P.)
The best Ive ever seen play defensive end. Too bad Smith never won a ring and the Minister of Defense left this earth too early.

DT's - Warren Sapp and Dana Stubblefield
Two monsters in the middle.

Like I said before everyone is free to have their own opinion.
Feel Free to post you lists.

man...u stuck in the 90's, those dudes were great but what about jim brown, dick butkus. tatum for the raiders joe montana, lynn swann, it's impossible to name a all time time team for the nfl. unless they five or six slots for each pos.

You can't go too far back because that's where athletes plays a factor. Atheletism peaked during the 90s, meaning the athletes then are the same as athletes now. The Athletes now are stronger than the athletes of the early 80s, 70s, 60s, so that list is for the most part on point. Now the game was much rougher in the past, during the 80s and 90s, the clowns playing today wouldn't stand a chance, they are simply not mentally tough enough.

I would however remove Deion Sanders as a cornerback because he's not even in the top 20 in interceptions. And I love Steve Young, huge fan, but he has to be replaced with Joe Montana.

Stats are not everything bro. There is a big reason why he wasn't. QBs were not throwing to his side practically the WHOLE GAME. They just knew better.

Bullshit. I don't know what games you were watchin. Garbage QBs weren't throwing his way, that's for sure. But best believe Young, Elway, Marino, Kelly, Cunningham and Favre was gettin in his ass.

that '94 cowboys team was a monster, probably 14 of their 22 starters were in the pro bowl...i would only need one back Barry Sanders, give me Marvin Harrison as a 3rd receiver with Rice and Carter...I'd have Deion Sanders and Darrell Green locking down my corners....all things being equal I'd take Steve Young over Montana too....oh yeah and Kellen Winslow, Sr. at TE...he was a beast...

Another reason why Dieon wouldn't be on my team: He couldn't tackle.

What did teams do when they couldn't throw to his side? RUN TO HIS SIDE. I remember one game where Dieon got rolled up so bad where they took him out because he became a liability.

you must only be taking players from when you were watching football.
True. Dude acts like he has never seen NFL Films. Let me school him.

QB: Joe Montana (Dude had poise and was cool as the flipside of the pillow. During the game winning drive in Super Bowl XXIII he stopped and told one of his linemen in the huddle, "Hey Look! There's John Candy!" Then went ahead and called the play and went to work. That calmed down everybody around him)

RB: As much as I want to put Jim Brown here, few people know that he actually played Fullback. The Browns kept RB's like Bobby Mitchell & Leroy Kelly. They could line both of them in the backfield at the same time. I'm gonna go with Emmitt. Not because he had the most yards in history, but he didn't often get stuck for negative yards, he had hands (why is it that Detroit never utilized Barry out of the backfield), and he had a nose for the endzone. Barry had a very low TD ratio for a RB with that much yardage.

WR: Jerry Rice & Art Monk. I don't have to explain Rice, but you have to have a posession receiver and Monk was one of the best

TE: Ozzie Newsome or John Mackey. This is a toss up, But I'll go with Ozzie.

T: Anthony Munoz
G: Gene Hickerson (Before him the NFL had seven 1,000 rushers in it's history. While he played with the Browns they had 9 in ten years)
C: Dwight Stevenson
G: Jerry Kramer (famous Green Bay pulling guard your grandmother could run behind)
T: Gary Zimmerman or Bruce Matthews? I'm going with Bruce. 15+ years in the trenches and not a single missed game fighting off defensive ends and oncoming rookies? Easy pick

DE: Deacon Jones (the NFL's TRUE sack leader)
DT: Mean Joe Green
DT: Alan Page
DE: Reggie White

OLB LT...The Original LT
MLB: I would say Singletary, but he was terrible in pass coverage. But I can't think of anybody better vs. the run & the pass?
OLB: Lee Roy Selmon (If only he played for a better team) I almost said Derrick Thomas

It's 3:40 in the morning. I'll do the rest tomorrow, shit. I'm sleepy
