He was a year and a half early, but yeah, it's over now.

He had a good run, Lake show will be back in 2018!!

he should retire. if not, trade him. i'm a Kobe fan but there is nothing he can do to help the franchise move foward while being on the team. The lakers will be back. they always are.

http://www.bgol.us/board/showthread.php?t=718972&page=8This may be the last hurrah for ever for Kobe fans, at least on the court vs LeBron.. And I am dead serious too..
Kobe tried to remind everyone that if there’s a problem with the Lakers, it has little to do with No. 24.
You could see it in the fourth quarter. He was exhausted. His ball-hogging and one-on-five mentality allowed the East to slash a healthy double-digit lead to two with little more than a minute to play.
“The fourth quarter, man, I had nothing left,” Bryant said.
That didn’t stop him from shooting
I never thought, at the time of that All-Star game, that I'd be hearing this from Kobe fans in 2013.
"He was a year and a half early"-- Has Kobe had a major moment since? What has been his biggest? (The biggest that comes to mind for me is hitting the free throws after the original injury as his team was scrambling to get into the playoffs.)
i don't much care for jason whitlock's editorials (hit or miss, IMO) and flawed internal logic is usually the reason.
the quotes above are a perfect example.

Peace,
I would have thought you would agree with those sentiments, cran.
This is exactly what I said last year's All-Star game after the two blocks on LeBron..

You know, I was confusing the two All-Star games.
I think you just provided the proof that Whitlock was wrong that the 2011 All-Star Game was Kobe's last stand. He wasn't the MVP in 2013 but I think that work in the clutch qualifies as a last stand (so far).
jason whitlock provided evidence which refuted his own position:
ball hogging
one on five mentality
continuing to shoot with nothing left
does not support "if there’s a problem with the Lakers, it has little to do with No. 24"
Reading it again, I think you're correct.Peace,
I interpreted that being written from Kobe's perspective. I actually think he's lockstep with you on this one.

..You can tell he was playing it like it was game 7 while everyone else was basically having fun..
I remember in 2011 when Jason Whitlock correctly called Kobe’s all-star MVP as his last shining moment on the NBA’s big stage.
All-Star Game was Kobe's last stand
Jason Whitlock article from February: All-Star Game was Kobe's last stand Feb 21, 2011 Kobe Bryant looked awfully “thirsty” Sunday evening. Yeah, his lips were parched. There was enough flour in the corners of his mouth to bake two cakes. To Bryant, that All-Star MVP trophy must have looked...www.bgol.us
I wonder if that will prove to be what we saw with Curry and/or LeBron today, both on NBA teams that are not guarantees to make the playoffs.
