from houston, not there right now.... my brother said something, this shit happens like once a year. its crazy them bayous make flooding so easily.

Y'all lucky y'all ain't got no basements.
Whenever it rains hard as fuck over here those basement flooding companies be eating like shit with all the work they get.
In 2011 it got so bad they had to call in other companies from out of state because they were flooded(no pun intended) with calls that would take months to service.

The water table is too close to the soil for a basement, plus we at damn near sea level with lots of rain yearly, I've never seen a basement in person:lol:

I see y'all got those game rooms.I seen houses in Houston and Dallas online and that shit tripped me out seeing them without a basement. It makes the back of the house look weird as fuck.
But damn you never been in a basement before?
How the hell y'all have parties in high school??
Basement parties were the shit especially out here in the DMV.Over time your eyes adjusted to the darkness because the lights would be ALWAYS off and the Go-Go blasting until the cops came and shut shit down.

I think a few select house in the Dallas area may have basement, but Houston and the rest of the Gulf Coast is a no go gor basements, too much rain plus the soil, alot of foundation problems for older homes, plus recurring flooding. Cant have basements in the swamps mayne

Shit we party in the front or back yard or the garage

Last night I talked to me cuz that lives in GreensPoint, she said they were good but was just waiting on this next wave of rain.

Incredible aerial images reveal horror aftermath of deadly Houston floods which killed six and forced more than a thousand from their homes as residents brace for even more rain
  • At least six people are recorded dead amid the historic floods swamping Houston, Texas, on Monday
  • The city saw 15 inches of rain on Sunday. Normally, Houston sees just 4 inches of rain in the entire month of April
  • More than 1,200 residents were rescued from floods Monday while 1,000 homes were flooded in Harris County alone
  • Forecaster warn more heavy rain is predicted for today while rising floodwaters have caused further evacuations
  • Officials are assessing two dams rated as 'extremely high risk' which are expected to reach 50 percent capacity
  • On Monday a TV reporter was preparing to go live when he saw and saved a man whose car was getting submerged
  • Families have been pictured wading through waist-deep water with belongings in plastic bags, kids on shoulders
