Strait up, Kobe hit shots in that game that MJ couldn't(and wouldn't have to) on his best day. I'm not ready to pass the torch just yet, but Kobe could make a strong arguement if he carries the lakers to a chip against the Celts. The Lakers shouldn't win this series.

I seriously doubt that bruh. Without question, MJ elevated his outside game during the second half of his career. And honestly, MJ had alot more faith in his supporting cast and would've dished the ball out to one of the many perimeter assassins he had throughout his career. Kobe truely had to grab the reigns and close the show. Something that MJ has done himself many times before, of course, but the teams MJ had possessed a shitload more heart, will, and closing ability than this Lakers squad.

MJ is still the G.O.A.T.(at least at 2 guard), but Kobe is definitely making a strong agruement with performances like that one. And he's probably still got at least 4 more years at this level or better.

Pau Gasol is the #1 reason the Lakers are the team to beat in the NBA. I cant think of 3 big men that I would rather have on my team.

Still, if you partner Gasol with Lebron, Melo or Wade, then I will expect to see those teams in the NBA finals too.

If you put Kobe on the Cavs, Nuggets or Heat, then those teams would be watching the NBA finals like the rest of us.
