When he's on, mesmerizing!!!!! This is the type of close out game LeBron needs to record and watch over and over!!!!!

Yeah the Lakers go in with a 17 point lead and escape with a 8 point win. Way to kill them Kobe...

The difference is, LeBron/Cavs lose this game. Say what you will, this is the WCF and ALL teams are good and expected to make a run! A true superstar takes the hit, and carries the team on his back to the win!! Your right, WAY TO KILL THEM KOBE!!!

LA is playing next week.... nuff said!

I do not see the cavs losing this game. the western conference is the weaker of the conferences, especially defensively. Playing like that against Boston will get the Lakers beat again...

Dude, Cavs got blown out the last two games of the series, and LB had like 9 turnovers in his triple double game!?!?!?! I feel you, but that's all opinion and subjective. Call the West weaker if you want (I don't agree however), but the defending champions come from the western conference. If you look playoff team by team, I can't really see how you can think East is Stronger than West?!?!? :smh:

sorry I just do not see almost losing a 17 point lead going into the fourth quarter as something to brag about...

People aren't going to remember the lakers blowing a 17 point lead they are going to remember the lakers going to the finals once again, and we all no Kobe has the killer instinct which lebron (although we know he is a great player) doesn't have that instinct at this time.

People aren't going to remember the lakers blowing a 17 point lead they are going to remember the lakers going to the finals once again, and we all no ?!? Difference is, Kobe can take a team of second and third tier stars, and lead them, I honestly believe while LeBron is definitely the most overall skilled player in the league, this lack of killer instince is what separates him from Kobe. The best thing for him to do, is to try to link up with a DWade in the off season, that way he can still when needed defer to DWade at 'Killer' moments in the game. Outside of this, I don't believe his temperament will not allow him to win a Chip on his own.... Kobe, on the other hand, is DEFINITELY the closest thing we've had to Air since he retired.

LeBron is better than Kobe

OP,

who was more instrumental in the fakers G6 victory, ron artest or tobe?

just asking.

No need to answer that question Dude, but I will humor your Kobe Hating Ass!!! Artest had an excellent first half, I believe he had like 6 or 8 points in the second half. Once the Suns made their run, it was the best player in the league Mr. Bryant who made all of the big 4th quarter shots to hold off the Suns!!! So, to answer you pitiful question...The best player in the NBA will be playing in the NBA finals, for the THIRD season in a ROW!!!! Your hate is sooooo pitiful it's laughable!!!! I hope you enjoy the finals!!!!!:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Re: LeBron is better than Kobe

I got another question: Was it really Shasa's tech that "sparked" the Suns comback or was it something else at play?

glad to see you can recognize who did the heavy lifting.

can you also answer this question:

do you think it's easier to play with house money?

or to build a lead from scratch?

just asking.

Anyone else notice that despite the numbers that the stan's man put it, they really seemed to have no impact on the game? The difference in Game 5 and 6 was the play of Fisher/Odom and Artest.

As Diamels said, I don't see how a guy can be regarded as a closer when he didnt close a game out, other than making a jumper over Hill. More TNT/ESPN regurgitated propaganda.

Congrats to the lakers for making it back to the finals. Even though the west was a cakewalk for them, they made it 3 straight years so they did what they had to do. Unfortunately, they'll be facing their first real threat and if history shows any indication of what to expect, it looks like the title will be headed back East again.

You guys are hilarious!!!!:lol::lol::lol: Kobe could save 15 ppl from a burning building and you idiots would claim the fire wasn't hot!!!:lol::lol: If he doesn't make those shots, the Lakers don't win the game, end of story. Oh, by the way, where is LeBron, Carmelo, and whomever else you clowns try to claim is better than Kobe? Home watching him play in his third straight Finals, and possibly his 5TH TITLE!!!! Call me a Stan, or whatever you clowns want to call me, but there are NO QUESTIONS AT ALL about his ability to lead a team, hit the big shot, or win the chip!?!?!? All of the other new school stars (outside of DWade who has ONE?!?!?!), Kobe has his and keeps getting his... LB was running around looking confused the last two games against Boston....:lol::lol::lol:

CNNSI.com says it best....

NBA's most cold-blooded closer remains utterly unmatched

Best Quote...

"Kobe is so good, he makes incredible normal for us [and] those that are around him," said Lamar Odom. "He spins away from a double team, leans back and hits those medium range jumpers. He uses his footwork to free himself while he's double-teamed. There aren't too many players in the history of the NBA that can make those plays. I always commend Kobe for his competitiveness, his preciseness, the way he studies the game and his goal as far as being the best player ever. There are not too many guys who want that responsibility but time and again he embraces the moment."

Haven't heard shit from Cleveland since getting their asses kicked!!!!:lol::lol::lol::lol:

without question, tobe made a handful of difficult shots in G6. i don't recall anyone stating that tobe did NOT hit some difficult shots.

that said, it's easy to play with house money. you have a cushion to take risks that exhibit poor judgement.

it's ok for stans to cheer, because for every 5 dumb plays, they only remember 1 difficult made shot.

did you watch Q4 by the way? can you tell me how the suns cut the lead down to 5? or do you only remember the slovakian connection?

where is LeBron, Carmelo, and whomever else you clowns try to claim is better than Kobe?

lebron james is sitting at home watching after losing in the 2nd round of the playoffs. a place where tobe couldn't get in 2005, 2006 or 2007.

but let's revisit your fire rescue scenario:

tobe could've escorted 15 people out of a building after the first 100 were already evacuated by the rest of the team. but stans would only focus on what tobe did.

and it would turn out that the fire was really just some burnt toast which set off a smoke detector; but stans would claim that the building was fully engaged in a raging inferno.

now that's accurate.

apparently CNN SI and you are all not terribly literate.

read lamar odom's quote again for content/substance.

what did he really say?

that's right TJ, after re-reading it, you can probably see that lamar odom made no evaluative statement about important things like ACTUAL talent or skill. lamar odom diplomatically stated that he commends tobe for:

1) competitiveness
2) preciseness
3) being studious
4) having a goal

lamar odom did NOT commend tobe for his ability to:

1) execute the coach's game plan
2) intelligently play within the O
3) make plays that help the team

but it's a semi-free country. you can continue to imagine whatever you like about tobe.

LeBron is better than Kobe

When he's on, mesmerizing

here is ESPN's play-by-play of Q2 of G6. http://espn.go.com/nba/playbyplay?gameId=300529021&period=2

it will have to suffice since i'm confident you don't have the video to re-watch.

Q2 of G6 is when the fakers got their greatest separation from the suns.

Q2 of G6 is when the fakers limited the suns to their lowest output of the game.

so take a look and see which fakers were contributing to the most critical segment of the game.

and take a look and see which fakers were not contributing to the most critical segment of the game.

or maybe you're just too mesmerized by tobe to honestly recall.

mes·mer·ize [mez-muh-rahyz, mes-] –verb (used with object),-ized, -iz·ing.

1.to hypnotize.
2.to spellbind; fascinate.
3.to compel by fascination.

You all forgot one adjective... WINNER!!!!! You guys are so pitiful, gotta go ALL the way back to 2007 to try to discount the best player in the NBA's success!!!:lol::lol:

He's been in the finals 3 straight years, has a chance to win his 5th chip!!! Has never been SWEPT out of the Finals... I could go on and on!!!! And all this heavy lifting bullshit, that's what makes great players great, with all of the 'HEAVY' lifting Artest did, when Phoenix made their run, if the BEST PLAYER IN THE NBA hadn't hit those big, nearly impossible shots continually in the fourth quarter, all of the HEAVY lifting would have resulted in a loss. That's what makes him so great, unlike the other people in the best player in the league debate, who put of BIG atats, but are usually invisible in crunch time, and have YET to lead their teams over the hump consistently. And before you clowns talk about Kobe riding Shaq to the first three, how many have they won without each other, 1, and how many finals has Kobe been to without Shaq, 3, how many has Shaq been to without Kobe, 1!!!! Enjoy the ride fellas, if you can bring your pitiful asses to watch the finals, you will be watching the greatest player of this Era do his thing!!!! AGAIN!!!:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

I can appreciate all the effort put in to post the link to the second period pbp posting, but just in case you weren't informed, the game is 4 quarters (ask the Cavs and the Magic!) and until the 4th quarter buzzer sounds the games is not over. That being said, I thought I'd help you Kobe Haters with a little information on how the game ended, with ANOTHER 'W' for the best player in the NBA.... and notice how absent Artest's name was in crunch time.... 26 POINTS IN THE SECOND HALF!!!!! 9 POINTS IN THE LAST TWO MINUTES OF THE GAME!!!! Please...you guys are clowns.... That's how you close out games Fellas!!! Oh, but he is the best player in the NBA!!!

A little visual support for the brothers that have difficulty reading...MESERMIZING!!!:

You may want to recheck your history or math on this one...

LeBron is better than Kobe

I can appreciate all the effort put in to post the link to the second period pbp posting, but just in case you weren't informed, the game is 4 quarters.

the game is absolutely 4 quarters. and Q2 was the most pivotal (as evidenced by the fakers D, and the team playing collectively as a whole on O)

I thought I'd help you Kobe Haters with a little information on how the game ended, with ANOTHER 'W' for the best player in the NBA

as if we needed any more proof (beyond you creating this thread)

in case you weren't informed, the game is won by TEAMS, not by individual players.

9 POINTS IN THE LAST TWO MINUTES OF THE GAME

2 FGs. simply awesome.

5 FTs from the suns playing the foul game for possession. catching an inbound pass and waiting to be fouled requires serious talent.

you definitely are mesmerized.

Crunch time buckets, points, etc. They won by 8 so obviously the 9 he scored were pivotal!!! Anyway, like I said before, he is on his way to playing in his 6th finals with the chance to win his 5th chip!!!:lol::lol::lol: And you whiney assed Niggas can sit here and discount his career all you want, HE IS STILL THE BEST PLAYER IN THE LEAGUE!!!!:lol::lol::lol:

I'm done arguing with you pitiful assed, whiney assed, Kobe Haters!!!! It must eat yall cry baby assed niggas up that he Stay winning and in the spotlight!!!!

so "crunch time" is holding a double digit lead? what a pussified generation of fans this is.

also, you intentionally avoided the point that it wasn't tobe who built or secured the lead. but definitely played a hand in giving part of it away.

I'm done arguing with you pitiful assed, whiney assed, Kobe Haters

you were done before you began. you fanboy stans make homo rah-rah threads and have nothing to substantiate your claims.

if you don't want to continue getting owned in your threads, educate yourself about the topic before you create another one.

You call my Dude winning series and playing for championships

you mean like pau gasol's tip in against OKC in the closeout game?

you mean like ron artest's put back against the suns in G5?

do individual players win series?

i thought you were done a couple posts ago?

the homo is strong with you, cause you keep caping up for your dude.

Strait up, Kobe hit shots in that game that MJ couldn't(and wouldn't have to) on his best day. I'm not ready to pass the torch just yet, but Kobe could make a strong arguement if he carries the lakers to a chip against the Celts. The Lakers shouldn't win this series.
